My Home Page

Welcome to my home page. I am a middle-aged married man with two daughters. I enjoy singing, tramping and mountain-biking. I am a member of the Royal Dunedin Male Choir and have sung in supporting roles in a few local productions. I bike to work each day and do a little recreational biking; it keeps me fit and is one small contribution to sustainability. I support Oxfam and Greenpeace and believe that the pervasive growth at any cost is destructive both socially and environmentally.

The poems are arranged in rough categories. l just hope that the 'miscellaneous' group doesn't get too big. Poems are meant to be read aloud; rhythm, not rhyme, is the key feature of poetry. The rhythm and sound of the words makes or breaks a poem. To be relevant, poetry has to reflect 21st century life. Here are some links to other poetry/writing sites that you may find interesting:.
