Friday, 3 January 2014. This model is by Karl Rohnke. An outdoor adventure instructor. I like the way it reduces the black and whiteness of the concept of comfort zones. Thursday, 10 October 2013. Make them work for it. I think this campaign from Transport for London is fantastic. I love that everything is parallel, the bike is behind the vehicle and the road edge extends to the full width of the poster. It looks like there's no danger, so you have to use your imagination to make sense of the caption.

GWT Drag and Drop | The Saturday morning hangover

https://stuartervine.wordpress.com/2008/07/29/gwt-drag-and-drop

The Saturday morning hangover. Beer induced thoughts on development. GWT Drag and Drop. We’re in the process of removing GWT-EXT from our app due to a large download overhead with the extjs javascript file. One of things we use is the portal drag and drop stuff… however there’s an excellent library written by Fred Sauer called GWT-DND. That does a much better job. It also has a pretty simple API. The compiled GWT javascript is tiny 9k! You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0.

Deleting code – what the inspector wasn’t told. | The Saturday morning hangover

https://stuartervine.wordpress.com/2008/09/17/deleting-code-what-the-inspector-wasnt-told

The Saturday morning hangover. Beer induced thoughts on development. Deleting code – what the inspector wasn’t told. I like deleting unused code, it’s fun and satisfying. IntelliJ is brilliant at helping discover unused code too, with it’s code inspector. Oddly, some developers go to great lengths to try and stop tools like this being able to identify if code is actually in use. One of the common techniques is to stick a class name into a database table. Move the code in the database back into code.

The Saturday morning hangover. Beer induced thoughts on development. GWT Tools, Geez and GStyle. The Saturday morning hangover. Beer induced thoughts on development. Is great for acceptance testing websites. Technical Debt. | The Saturday morning hangover

https://stuartervine.wordpress.com/2008/09/14/technical-debt

The Saturday morning hangover. Beer induced thoughts on development. I was ambling through some blogs that Google Reader suggested to me, and came across an article by Joe Ocampo on ‘ How healthy is your code. 8216; It reminded me of something I heard mentioned on a project recently. It went something along the lines of ‘You are not properly stuck into a project until you have introduced some technical debt’. 8216;, a good way of showing there may be trouble ahead. From the mind of David Peterson

From the mind of David Peterson. Just as the title reads. give me a peice of your mind at DavidPeterson00@hotmail.com. Tuesday, December 17, 2002. If I was asked to react to the prospect of war with Iraq, what would I say? Possibly that I hope it will work. Saddam is, I have been told, one of the world’s horrible dictators and I would like to see him go. I would like to see democracy flourish in Iraq. I would like the women there to be free. And that is not to mention the military industrial complex.
