The Adventure of a Lifetime. Monday, 12 November 2007. We have been having a lot of success with our Garden (see Success! And have even finished our first season! About a week ago we dug up the gardens again after the chooks being on the top one for about a week. They had previously been on the bottom garden for about a month. one point five: May 2011
http://onepoint5.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
The Adventure of a Lifetime. Monday, 30 May 2011. We looked up the month of May in our crop rotation plan and found that we are supposed to plant Onions etc. So we put dolomite in the soil (because our soil is acidic and onions like lime soil) and planted Onions, Garlic, Leeks, Shallots and Chives. We also had some space left so we planted the Onion family's natural companion plants, Carrots. Links to this post. Sunday, 29 May 2011. Our Bean and Pea patch. Links to this post. The Adventure of a Lifetime. Wednesday, 27 July 2011. While looking for more plants to expand our fruit trees a friend told me about Raspberrys, I looked them up and found them to be good size, produce a lot of fruit and multiply by sending out suckers from there roots. I convinced Paul they were good and we started to prepare the area. We hope to be planting them on Saturday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enter your search terms. one point five: Success! First Season's Fruits
http://onepoint5.blogspot.com/2007/11/success-first-seasons-fruits.html
The Adventure of a Lifetime. Tuesday, 6 November 2007. We have had a lot of success with our gardens. Here is a photo of some of our garlic. It was enjoyed along with the onions and other veggies harvested. The chook pen shown here was over the top garden for about a week and over the bottom for a month. We hope that the chook droppings and the turned up dirt will help the overall production for our second season. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Enter your search terms. Liam's Recipes: Fruity Feast
http://liams-recipes.blogspot.com/2008/05/fruity-feast.html
Saturday, 3 May 2008. This is a great Idea to get kids eating healthy. Get all sorts of fruit (eg. paw-paw, apple, banana etc.) and cut up. Arrange in patterns. Below is an example:. Cut two slices of Banana (you can leave the skin on to make it more interesting) for the eyes, a slice of watermelon or paw-paw for the mouth, half a strawberry for the nose and to add a salady touch to it you could put some curly parsley for the hair. Monday, 5 May 2008. This is a great Recipe to have with your family weekend BBQ's. Cut some large corn cobs in half, then slice some medium tomatoes into quarters. Add some thinly sliced potatoes and mushrooms. Mix in some onion rings and some crushed garlic. Cook all of it until the onion rings go transparent. Serve with sausages or steak.
