David's LGO Adventures

Saturday, November 29, 2014. SE Asia Part III: Malaysia! Reader beware: this post is going to be long. We only spent 96 hours in Malaysia but what an amazing time it was! After a great visit to our G-Lab host company in Vietnam. The next stage almost didn't happen, all because of a delicious dinner and a mad scramble through the airport. From there, we crossed the Penang Bridge (site of the half-marathon we would run three days later) and pulled over for a quick photo-op. Our destination for the day was ...

David's LGO Adventures: Auto Plants and Astronauts

http://www.davidslgoadventures.blogspot.com/2014/11/auto-plants-and-astronauts.html

Sunday, November 9, 2014. Auto Plants and Astronauts. Two things stand out from the last few weeks: auto plants and astronauts. Let me explain…. With Cynthia still on her internship in Detroit and me in Boston, we’ve been finding creative ways to meet in the middle. Last month’s destination: Nashville! Not wanting to let a 3-day weekend go to waste, we flew down to meet up with Beto (who is doing his internship in Chattanooga) and explore the area. First stop: Bowling Green, Kentucky. Even still, it was ...

David's LGO Adventures: May 2014

Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Midstream Week, DonFest, and Spring Shenanigans. Last week was midstream week for the off-cycle interns, when all of us returned to campus to check in and share what we've been doing for the last three months. It also marked the halfway point of our internships and the last time the entire class will be together until the on-cycle midstream week in September. Time is flying by! The man, the myth, the legend that is Don Rosenfield. Great view of Fenway! Every semester, the cohorts o...

David's LGO Adventures: August 2013

http://www.davidslgoadventures.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 26, 2013. On Final Approach to the North Central State Airport in Rhode Island. Another quick turnaround at home found me heading to Logan Airport for the next adventure. My "Mystery Trip" for Cynthia, which was a well-guarded secret until she guessed the destination a week before the trip, was to San Diego (State #3) to visit her good friends Shannon and Rebecca. We took the new direct flight on Alaska from BOS to SAN and within 6 hours we were on the other side of the country. It's been ...

Sunday, July 14, 2013. Fireworks, CLGO Visit, and Plant Treks, Oh My! It's been a busy couple of weeks here in LGO-land! Last week marked the halfway point in the summer term and it all seems to be flying by so quickly. Rather than have to decide between focusing on school and focusing on fun, I've taken the approach of doing it all and am planning to catch up on sleep sometime after I graduate. Here are some of the highlights from the last few weeks:. View from the MIT Sailing Pavilion. At Shanghai Jiao...

David's LGO Adventures: April 2014

Tuesday, April 15, 2014. International Plant Trek Part 2: Seoul. After four fantastic days in Shanghai, we said goodbye to our CLGO friends and headed to the second destination of IPT: Seoul! The day numbering picks up from the last post. Day 5: Shanghai to Seoul. Our flight was almost two hours late, so what was supposed to be a very laid back arrival turned into a bit of a scramble to make it to our first destination: Korean BBQ! Some folks stayed out for late-night karaoke, but by that point I was pre...

Saturday, July 27, 2013. Overview of summer classes. This blog post is about the various mandatory classes that LGOs take during the summer. To preface my blog post I want to let you know that MIT students like to refer to courses by their number and not by their title (maybe it is more efficient? I'll refer to both the number and course title for each of the courses I write about below. Who is actually about the same age as Susan and I! 15064 Probability and Statistics:. http://johnkangw.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 17, 2014. Long period of inactivity. I want to let you all know that I have not forgotten about this blog. The reason I am not writing many blog posts is because most of my time that is not related to school has been spent on recruiting. I have a whole blog-post regarding recruiting which I'll publish once I figure out where I'll be heading post-LGO. Other than recruiting I have been spending time on classes. The four classes I am taking are listed below:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, May 10, 2009. May 10, 2009. So much for every week, but to keep anyone interested posted. The Prozac has been working pretty well for me. I am adapting to the real world much better. I am still a little tired in the evening, more tired than I want to be, but I am trying to change around my sleep habits to see if this will help. I had the option of uping. My dose to 20 mgs. Rather than then ten I am currently taking, but I opted not too. I am still glad I made the switch from Lexapro. To beer, but...
