One Stitch at a Time

One Stitch at a Time. Every day is like another stitch in our lives. Rich in colour and adding dimension to our story. Brantford, Ontario, Canada. View my complete profile. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Homemade Bread - all by hand - yummy! Since my bread machine hasn't worked for a few years and my kitchen aid bit the biscuit last summer, I haven't made bread for a LONG time! But today I did and they turned out great! Three nice fluffy loaves. The kids loved it! Thanks Bernice for passing on the recipe.

One Stitch at a Time. Every day is like another stitch in our lives. Rich in colour and adding dimension to our story. Brantford, Ontario, Canada. View my complete profile. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. So, I woke up somehow thinking I had a midwife appointment this morning, but alas, baby brain had me confused. It isn't till next week. Then, some of the neighbours had their garbage out early this morning, making me think it was garbage day. It's not till tomorrow. What a pain they are. I know it will be. :).

It's been such a long time! So much has happened in the past 2 years. Last spring, I began tutoring other children along with homeschooling my own children. What a busy year! I was putting in nearly 13 hours every week after school and in the evenings. Talk about CRAZY! Will it be a boy or a girl? What would you ...

A 'New' Front Door. So, I got so tired of answering the door for salespeople, that I just had to find a way to cover the window on my front door. I googled it and checked Pinterest, and - I found a way to do it. I think it turned out pretty good! What do you think? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://cheers-eh.blogspot.com/2012/10/after-casey-and-his-family-left-on.html

The Life and Times. Saturday, October 6, 2012. After Casey and his family left on Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed an early dinner followed by some smores. Yum! Marie is the official queen of smores and taught James and Lucas the ropes. After indulging in smores, we all went for a walk to watch the sunset behind the mountains. Unfortunately it was a bit smokey from the forest fires, but beautiful even so. See above the cute couple, Marie and Kyle. See here, Oma, Grandpa, and James. Here they are again!

The Life and Times. Sunday, October 28, 2012. On the Road Again! The day we left Idaho was James' birthday, September 24th. To help celebrate, we had donuts for breakfast. Craters of the Moon. As we passed through eastern Idaho, we stopped at Craters of the Moon nat'l park. The land is basically a lava field; black rock fom previous eruptions. Very interesting! A close up of the lava rock. We made it to Yellowstone! And what did we see more than anything? And there she blows! Then we saw Bison. Why can't ...

The Life and Times. Saturday, April 21, 2012. Our Trip to Gun Lake, Michigan. Because Jerry took a day off to come to our new babe's ultrasound, we decided to take the long weekend and camp. It was Easter weekend and the weather was beautiful! This was our first time taking the motor home with the Blazer in tow. It was a fun ride and the boys all did well. Mostly they stayed in their seats and napped. It was about a 3-4 hour drive up to Gun Lake, MI where we were staying. Check out the swan! I want to tr...

The Life and Times. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Dina's Baptism: August 19, 2012. Would you believe this is the same gown that all three boys wore? We took off the blue ribbons and added the lace and made a new, girly bonnet. I think it turned out quite nice! Love those bright eyes. Our latest family portrait. A few snapshots of Dina's first week of life. Loving the pink and the flowers ;). August 8, 2012. Finally, here she is! Berendina Antoinette, born at 2:37 AM on August 8, 2012. I thought these next photos of them were too cute to keep to myself. Click on them to appreciate fully. Hahaha. so, "Les and Deb sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" Heehee. One Stitch at a Time.

The Life and Times. Saturday, October 6, 2012. James was so excited that it was all he could think about. In the middle of the night he awoke while I was nursing Dina and said, "I was dreaming about fishing. We need to remember to pack a lunch." So funny. James caught his fish! Sorry it was a bad photo; click on it and you can see the fish better. We were so happy for him and he was so proud. No we had to try and get the poor fish off the hook. We managed. Jerry waits, and waits, and waits for the big one.

http://cheers-eh.blogspot.com/2012/10/on-our-way-to-idaho.html

The Life and Times. Saturday, October 6, 2012. On our way to Idaho! We have been planning this trip to Idaho for the past 2 years. The day has finally come and we are off. Last winter we invested in a motor home to make the trip with 4 little ones more manageable, and am I glad we did! Dina, who was only 4 weeks old when we left, did fabulously. She ate and slept, and when she was awake, she was quite content! Enjoying a snack of pears en route. Then we could slide down! Wouldn't that be fun? Here are a ...

The Life and Times. Saturday, October 6, 2012. We met Mom and Dad up in Donnelly just in time for a late dinner. It was SO nice to visit with them :) We hadn't seen them for over a year so this was great. We stayed at an RV camp called S.I.S.C.R.A. we didn't realize it stood for "Southwestern Idaho Senior Citizen Recreation Area". Who knew? Ours were the only kids around and made the most noise. but, for the most part, everyone enjoyed us being there. Oma cuddling her new granddaughter. Man have a blog.

The Life and Times. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Grampa and Jerry with the boys in front of the old shop. Everything was closed when we were there, but a kind man drove up on his golf cart and offered to let us look around. Mr Eld, it turns out, is the mayor and sheriff of the town and also the owner of the general store and several other historic buildings. Views of the town. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
