We hiked outside of Juneau at the Mendenhall glacier. The flowers were pretty and the Alder trees were loaded with buds. I just thought these leaves were pretty- with their red-tinged edges. One of the first days of really nice weather in Brooklyn this year. We were lucky to be there to attend our nephew's bar mitzvah. Such fun and a gorgeous day! The magnolia was just gorgeous against the blue sky and barely blooming trees in the background. I think just about everyone in Brooklyn was there!

The first photo is the azalea that lives on the sunny side of the garage/sun room. So saturated with color it was hard for me to photograph. Next the Vinca. I love this ground cover. it blooms over and over. The Daphne lives close to the Vinca. its just coming into full bloom. Brooklyn Botanical Garden's Spring Flowers.
