Charles Mears State Park. We werent too keen on this campground – located in Ludington, Michigan – but the exciting thunderstorm at night made it a memorable visit! May 30, 2006. St Louis – Day Two. June 11, 2006. St Louis – Day One. We arrived in St. Louis around 3:00 pm and heading straight to the pool at our Courtyard Marriott. We then walked to the Union Station to catch the Metro to the Arch downtown. We then turned the Arch – it was awe-inspiring! The trip was in a little shuttle elevator (see picture) and the view from the top was dizzy! But the best part was walking in the twilight back to the Metro – the path though the Gateway Park was full of fireflies! June 11, 2006.
