The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity. Thursday, July 17. U stand for uptight. That's how I'm feelin.'. If I had kids who were going to sing the same thing over and over I would show them this upcoming segment from Sesame Street. In which Feist teaches kids to count to- you guessed it- four. Performance of "You Really Got A Hold On Me.". Does anyone else remember being mildly creeped out when they saw Smokey being chased by a giant letter U? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity: September 2008
http://harrietvane.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity. Thursday, September 4. A couple of Saturday mornings ago I woke up smiling because I had just dreamed an original episode of The Office. On dvd this summer, and I don’t want to start having Lost. The crinkly yellow leaves that are starting to fall on the front walk tell me that summer won’t last, so I’m trying to make the most of the long days and good produce. One night last week I stayed up past my bedtime in order to make kefta and zucchini kebabs. I took the blu...

My intention has been to start writing on this thing, but writing is hard. And, I'm not sure if I'm quite ready for it. In the meantime, I would like to share with you in a more familiar way. I'm going to try to post a picture or two occasionally (taking from my good friend, Crystal Coleman at daylightsrest.blogspot.com). Thanks for visiting again! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Photo of the day. I took this photo on december 8, 2006, on the way from the rehearsal of the first wedding i shot to the rehearsal dinner. i saw this sunset, and had to pull over. I'm not sure if i've ever seen one quite as beautiful as this. to me, it symbolized a great beginning for rob and julia. Sorry for the confusion. i hope to see many there. So, i'm turning 30 and decided to throw myself a party. well, who else is going to do it? On thursday, february 7 (which IS actually my birthday), my fellow...

The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity: Mornings
http://harrietvane.blogspot.com/2009/02/mornings.html
The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity. Wednesday, February 25. Natural light is a great beautifier! My greatest decorating nightmare would be living in a house with no windows and dark walls. I think I would shrivel up like a forgotten raisin in a carseat. My house has great morning light but poor light when I get home from work.it turns out to be a blessing in disguise that I must now walk 2 miles home everyday - plenty of Vitamin D exposure! You are going to be in such good shape! Focus on the positive.

The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity: Small and white, clean and bright
http://harrietvane.blogspot.com/2008/06/small-and-white-clean-and-bright.html
The Felicity of Unbounded Domesticity. Tuesday, June 17. Small and white, clean and bright. If I have been quiet here for the last few weeks it is because I’ve mostly been occupied with mundane domestic tasks. I’ve moved to an old house with lots of quirks. Some of these I love—the phone nook! Oh, how I understand your new-house painting experience! I think the house your living in is actually next to where I used to live. Much to be thankful for. Everyone has gone to bed at my parents' house on westmoreland circle. it is the night before thanksgiving, and we are all here: my parents, my sister and her family including the 18-month-old, and myself. it's the first time i've been home in a few months. it's always nice to be here. i just have less responsibility when i'm here. I am thankful for:. 2 being born into such a loving, supportive family who i am lucky to be able to have a bountiful thanksgiving dinner with. 6 being ...

The lesson of the moth. I was talking to a moth. He was trying to break into. An electric light bulb. And fry himself on the wires. Why do you fellows. Pull this stunt i asked him. Because it is the conventional. Thing for moths or why. If that had been an uncovered. Candle instead of an electric. Light bulb you would. Now be a small unsightly cinder. Have you no sense. Plenty of it he answered. But at times we get tired. We get bored with the routine. And we know that if we get. Too close it will kill us.
