If asked to describe what covert emotional abuse looks like I am sometimes at a loss for words. Precisely because words, they are the weapons utilized by the abuser. And they are very good at using these veiled weapons. Words are sticks and stones. And sometimes they CAN. Hurt as much as a sharp blade or a clenched fist.
