Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Along the way, we saw 7 Western Toads camped out on the road, absorbing the last heat of the day. We stopped to photo the first couple but after that it was just a counting marathon! We also were amazed to be standing on the road when a large owl silently glided right over us, the only reason we even saw it was because of the near full moon. Gorgeous afternoon light on the remnants of the standing dead forest. The standing dead forest with new growth (HDR image).

Shows your affinity for amphibians quite clearly! But to be fair. these guys are CUTE! And the rose bush shot is really excellently composed. Nice depth of field! Wow lil P&S hu? Monday, August 25, 2008. The trail that kicked my. Yeah, so.again with the bugs, only this time with a really difficult trail as part of the package deal. I went hiking up Mt. Dickerman with a bunch of friends to see the sunset, and while we didn't get a great sunset, we got cool clouds, time to commune with the mountains, and lots of cool stuff to see.
