De-Lightful Minis: February 2015
http://delightfulminis.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. Just a few more details. No one gave an opinion regarding the bench but I decided it needed to be weathered and aged. I like it much better now. I added more family photo collages to the upper hall wall. The HBS catalog was a great source for pictures. I gave the bedroom art piece a frame of sorts. I used a Sharpie marker on the outer edges. It makes the painting stand out a bit more, which I like. Links to this post. Saturday, February 21, 2015. I love that I can look at this ...

De-Lightful Minis: Wonderful husband and getting started
http://delightfulminis.blogspot.com/2015/07/wonderful-husband-and-getting-started.html
Sunday, July 26, 2015. Wonderful husband and getting started. Now for the getting started part - I found a large book of scrapbook paper (1/2 off! In the colors I am planning to use in the Westville. With a 1950s timeline I wanted teals, pinks, greens, etc. Last evening and today I spent some time with markers adding color accents to some of the papers to give me the 50s feeling I'm going for. This is a sample block of different colors of the linoleum floor tile I want to replicate. That is a wonderful h...

Monday, June 30, 2014. The bathroom got small details like towels hanging on hooks, a bathmat, a hand towel on the sink, and toilet paper hanging from the side of the sink cabinet. The little vintage baby got her molded clothes painted. In the bedroom, I added a table/nightstand with a lamp made from a hardware connector and the seal from a bottle cap shaped just like a lamp shade. Links to this post. Labels: 1/2 half inch scale. De-Lightful Minis: Head 'em up and move 'em out!
http://delightfulminis.blogspot.com/2015/07/head-em-up-and-move-em-out.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. Head 'em up and move 'em out! The boy's room in the Westville is going to be cowboy themed like many young boys enjoyed in the 1950s. Roy Rogers, the Lone Ranger, and cowboy movies made cowboys very popular. I used the above picture for my inspiration for a chenille bedspread. This bed was my inspiration for the modifications I made to a traditional spindle headboard. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make my idea become reality. I'm so excited with how it turned out!

De-Lightful Minis: April 2015
http://delightfulminis.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 4, 2015. A new look at an old project. One of my great nephews got entirely too touchy with the log cabin at Christmas. I finally brought it down to do the repair work. (Right before having the same child here for Easter. What was I thinking? While I had it out, I gave everything a good cleaning. Rebekah appreciated the help. -) James is out getting some wood for the fire. Lunch is ready on the table. James had better hurry. It looks like Rebekah is already planning tomorrow's meals.
