They did show clips for the Best Picture nominees, but instead of straight clips, they interspersed them with clips from older movies that supposedly had the same theme. It tastes like fireworks! Nov 25th, 2009 at 6:01 AM. I'm sitting in the airport surfing the web "free courtesy of Google." Except that San Diego has always offered free wifi. So when Google asked me to donate the price of my wifi, sure, says I. Here's a big fat goose egg. Tonight we'll be celebrating my birthday with the in-laws, because we won't see them between now and my actual birthday in December. They've said they are making bread pudding for dessert. Last night. I don't know how this film escaped my notice when it was in theaters, but WOW. An online friend mentioned that it's total eye candy and she was right. I loved this movie. Gaiman is growing on me. I also read Anansi Boys. After Anansi Boys I read a young adult novel called The Witch's Boy. Now I have Bridge of Birds: A Novel of an Ancient China That Never Was.
