First Rites: I am tired, I am weary. I could sleep for a thousand years.
http://firstrites.blogspot.com/2009/02/i-am-tired-i-am-weary-i-could-sleep-for.html
I go to the top of the street, I go to the bottom of the street, I look to the sky, my lips are dry. Thursday, 12 February 2009. I am tired, I am weary. I could sleep for a thousand years. Somehow, returning to a badly neglected blog makes me feel a little surreptitious - like a lost cat that strolls into the room weeks after being designated "missing, presumed fed". Whatever the reason, I'm back. But my defences are up. Busy busy busy,. Why can't you see? Busy busy busy,. Working for the honey.

Thursday, 21 May 2009. Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. Took a midnight train, going anywhere.Don't Stop Believing, Journey. Very Oddly for me, I actually feel like blogging. The image above is not mine, but is gorgeous and sums up visually me and where I am at right now. For those that don't know, my ' tuther. Name is moon, a name that came about many moons ago through the Internet. And I just feel an affinity with, more so my name than my own (given to me by parents). I try and place m...

nikki morris: December 2008
http://nikki-morris.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 3 December 2008. Jester' 59.4cm x 42cm. Indian Ink on 60lb cartridge paper. Quite harsh and vigorous to portray. The shading of the form. I have a strange thing for Venetian. Masks at present, so I combined the two, baring the nakedness of the torso with the covering of the eyes for concealment, such honesty and vulnerability. With deliberate disguise. The history of the masks depict that they were used to originally enable 'fair trade' between the classes in C12 th. Duality, I know I do.

nikki morris: All change...is good!
http://nikki-morris.blogspot.com/2009/11/all-changeis-good.html
Tuesday, 3 November 2009. All change.is good! Acrylic on Bockingford 24cm x 30cm. Since the summer, much in my life has changed and after a long period of being unable to spend time in the studio, I finally got back in the saddle. After a review of the work I did leading up to the exhibition, it felt time to take a break from the deep and meaningful surrealist style for something a little more light hearted. I love dearly, although. Work is also stunning! Took quite a while to design, to try and find som...

Thursday, 19 February 2009. Curtains Up Acrylic on box canvas 12in x 12in. Curtains Up speaks differently to people. I thoroughly. Enjoyed this piece, a singing? Man The image for me is the start of an argument, the point where it turns from heated discussion. Its title aptly describes the shenanigans. Them, I can FEEL them, been on the receiving. End of those emotions and behaviour, and hopefully bring them to life again in my paintings. Of paintings being universally saleable. Maybe the penny has f...

First Rites: Norwegian Blues?
http://firstrites.blogspot.com/2011/07/norwegian-blues.html
I go to the top of the street, I go to the bottom of the street, I look to the sky, my lips are dry. Wednesday, 6 July 2011. This is a dead blog. It is no more. etc. Or is it? So who was I two years ago? Perhaps it is just that the stakes are so much higher now? Two years ago I was getting very cross trying to give up smoking (and failing). Today I am just getting very cross. Two years ago I blogged. Today I blogged. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter.

First Rites: August 2008
http://firstrites.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
I go to the top of the street, I go to the bottom of the street, I look to the sky, my lips are dry. Saturday, 9 August 2008. Piss, vinegar and CJ Stone. Today I rediscovered an old friend. In a manner of speaking. One of my favourite writers is a chap called CJ Stone. The rave scene, reactionary legislation. No thanks, I'll have a nice shiraz and a doobie thanks awfully.". Thursday, 7 August 2008. Many boats, one river. So what's been happening? So am I accepting it? The Buddha taught that this thirst g...
