Monthly Archives: November 2014. I know I know it’s been a while since I’ve last posted but to be quite honest nothing too exciting has happened since, except swear-in! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate becoming volunteers. A ceremony, chiva, and USA played Colombia in soccer and all in one day! Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com. Unfortunately Carnaval has come to a close here in Barranquilla which means I have to wait a whole 360 something days until the next Carnaval. I have to say that I must be a true Barranquillero if I’m already missing Carnaval. Oh and for those of you who don’t know what Carnaval is it’s the most fun celebration you could experience here on the coast and one of the most fun throughout the world! Barranquilla has the second largest Carnaval in the world! Carnaval…I Mean School Has Started. Create a free we...

January | 2015 | Colombia: Que Calor!

https://derekcpccolombia.wordpress.com/2015/01

Monthly Archives: January 2015. Closing Out The Year. We didn’t actually stay in the city of Cartagena but instead stayed in a small town not to far away called Turbana. We stayed at this awesome ‘resort’ that had a pool and most importantly air conditioning! But the best part that for four days the nine of us who stayed there only paid about $20 total, beat that Motel 6! Blog at WordPress.com. Blog at WordPress.com.
