Ramshackle Rally to Split in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Sunday, 5 September 2010. Left early again and made good time as most of this section was motorway. Arrived in Lubjijana at about 5.00pm after a good drive across Italy. Found another very central hotel and will hopefully be contacting Tina a student we hosted a few years back. Beer is cheap and had a good evening meal down by the river. The car is getting a lot of attention. Another early start tomorrow for the last leg to Split.

Ramshackle Rally to Split in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Saturday, 4 September 2010. Arrived safely. Took about an hour to find an hotel. Bern is as expensive as London, however they found a super hotel, the only drawback was 2 single beds pushed together with 1 duvet (snug). All the groups met up and a good night was had by all. Ramshackle Rally to Split in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Thursday, 9 September 2010. Well, after a long drive from Munich yesterday we finally arrived home at around 10.45pm. Total mileage was around 2800 and we both had a great time. Lots of fun with the other rallyists and lots of admiring looks from the public - for the car, not Rowan and me! Went to see Debbie at East Sussex CC Youth Development Service who had kindly arranged for the car to be taken on as a graffiti project next month so it will look terrific by mid August. Ramshackle Rally to Split in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Sunday, 5 September 2010. Left Bern early. Beautiful scenery there was snow on the mountains and roads with many bends as you would expect. Stopped for brunch at Andermatt at about 11.00am where the sun was shining - perfect - and in the afternoon found a Swiss Chalet to have tea and cakes. Found another very central hotel for the night. Ramshackle Rally to Split in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Monday, 4 October 2010. Great Ormand Street Hospital cheque presentation. Rowan and I visited Gt Ormond Street Hospital on 24th September and happily handed over a cheque for £2000.07 (don't ask how we managed to ge the odd 7p in there! We still have the car to sell on Ebay and all the proceeds from this sale will also go to GOSH, so hopefully there will be around another £250 to add to our total. Thursday, 9 September 2010.
