If you’re going to film in my hometown (or anywhere I know the streets like the back of my hand for that matter) please ensure you check your continuity before putting said TV show to air or releasing said film…. Please be true to this beautiful city of mine, as every square inch of her needs to be respected. For my definition of passion. But after a while, I t...

Billablog: I, for one, welcome our new clickbait servants
http://the-billablog.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-for-one-welcome-our-new-clickbait.html
Kicking at the darkness ’til it bleeds daylight. 02 August, 2015. I, for one, welcome our new clickbait servants. Last week, a reporter asked a question of Peter Dutton that should have been put to him and his predecessor as minister for immigration, Scott Morrison, every week for the last 23 months:. 8220;How can the government with a straight face say that you’ve stopped the boats when there are actually boats arriving, you just won’t talk about them? Is your kindred spirit, ZOMG! For sure, the article...

Kicking at the darkness ’til it bleeds daylight. It’s pretty simple really: just don’t be a dick. If you do choose to be a dick, I’ll probably leave your comment up anyway because I am a firm believer that the worst thing you can do to someone being a dick it to let the world see what a dick they are. However, if you abuse any other commenters, you’ll be out on your ear. As such, comments may be archived as well. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Billablog: What’s really wrong with the system
http://the-billablog.blogspot.com/2015/08/whats-really-wrong-with-system.html
Kicking at the darkness ’til it bleeds daylight. 02 August, 2015. What’s really wrong with the system. Bronwyn Bishop has accepted the inevitable and resigned as Speaker. Whether she jumped or was pushed will be debated for the next week. However, if you believe Tony Abbott as he announced the resignation. And why would the head of government call a press conference to announce the Speaker’s resignation anyway? It’s not Ms Bishop’s fault. She just got caught up in a flawed system. So if Mr Abbott’s...

Billablog: How to argue against marriage equality
http://the-billablog.blogspot.com/2015/08/how-to-argue-against-marriage-equality.html
Kicking at the darkness ’til it bleeds daylight. 12 August, 2015. How to argue against marriage equality. There is clear momentum in favour of allowing same-sex marriage. There is also clear opposition to it from certain sectors, including the prime minister, and their arguments are becoming more and more bizarre. It’s against my religion. But it says so in the Bible. What are you wearing? No, I’m not trying to make a pass at you; it’s a serious question. What are you wearing? A wool blend coat? The only...

The last ten years of my life have been the steepest learning curve I have ever ridden. I love my family tremendously, they mean the world to me, even if they do drive me a little batty at times. I’m so sick of hurting them, but I also have to come to terms with the fact that they are not always going to love the decisions I make. Enter your ...

The best of all possible worlds. The best pr in town. If hermione granger was a blogger… →. April 25, 2010 · 9:21 pm. If things had gone as planned – as promised in the ideal world I used to live in – you would be turning four today. Anzac Day wouldn’t be just Anzac Day; it would be your birthday. And I would probably be wondering if the shops were open because I forgot to buy sprinkles to make the fairy bread for your party. Things would be different. Who would your little friends be? But all of this wo...

On Writing, Tech, and Other Loquacities: January 2011
http://lanabrindley.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
On Writing, Tech, and Other Loquacities. Musings and scribblings from a writer and geek in Canberra, Australia. LCA Day 3: Beer, Heat and Throwing Knives. At Friday, January 28, 2011. Posted by Lana Brindley. Wednesday morning dawned and with it the rising awareness that today I had to perform. The bag was getting pretty heavy by then, so I flagged down a cab and jumped in. The middle part of the day was spent flitting between talks, meeting friends, and generally geeking out. All part of the LCA fun!
