Our plans come adrift at the first campsite. Our budget of 10-12 a night, accompanied by freedom camping every now and then, is thwarted by a hefty 28 per night charge for our first 3-star site, plus 6 for the laundry. We reel in horror and quickly recalculate: at this rate we will be back home in a few months.
