layOUT OF SIGHT: MEREDITH REVISIONS
http://layoutofsight.blogspot.com/2007/03/meredith-revisions.html
More than what you see in print. Monday, March 12, 2007. Based on a really quick meeting with the Boomer publication group as well as comments in class and the cover design workshop, this is how things turned out. I would have liked more time to spend with revisions, but I think it also helps me be more excited to be involved in furthering the design process. YOU CAN'T MISS: AIGA - Bookatainment. How fun was it to look at all the old art for the history assignment? What if that was your job?

Tips for applying and interviewing at places where you don't have the exact background employers are requesting. 2) In the cover letter and interview, don't even mention your educational background unless directly questioned about it. More than what you see in print. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. YOU CAN'T MISS:carnage for kids? Http:/ www.aiga.org/content.cfm/carnage-for-kids. This week's aiga voice post examines the responsibilities of those who are marketing the graphic product. This is done through a trip to the local blockbuster where kid's movies and horror movies are placed side by side. The author also has a little something to say about suggestive, as opposed to obvious ,design. I also loved the photoshop sites. What a great w...

a design jones: Patience
http://jonesing4design.blogspot.com/2007/04/patience.html
The complusive desire to understand all things creative. I consider myself to be a pretty patient person, however, when it comes to websites I want to pull my hair out. I don't know how many times I redesigned my website. The colors and fonts have stayed pretty similar, but the navigation and the layout of the design pages have changed probably 10 times. In true designer fashion, I'm still not satisfied with it. Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

a design jones: Critical Review
http://jonesing4design.blogspot.com/2007/03/critical-review_13.html
The complusive desire to understand all things creative. I'm unhappy with how this design turned out. When I first signed up to design for the Vox. Well, that idea fell through and the page wound up looking exactly like a Fine Arts department page. It's not the end of the world and I think the page looks good, I just wish there had been more interesting visual details to the page. Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). a design jones: Critical Review
http://jonesing4design.blogspot.com/2007/05/critical-review.html
The complusive desire to understand all things creative. I didn't design anything this past week except for my cover draft so let's take a closer look at what's not working about this cover. I tried. I don't think it's total crap, it was a starting point. As Michael Grinfield would say, "Everyone has shitty first drafts.". Tuesday, May 01, 2007. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
