Saturday, September 25, 2010. This planned conglomeration of pink and green fleece reminds me of a day when I hopped on a bus in Kyoto. Saturday, September 25, 2010. Thursday, September 23, 2010. Colour way, sourced. Here's the tail end of a scarf I put together recently. I've used both chemically and naturally dyed fibres (Procion MX, CIBA Acid dye, cedar bark and cochineal). It was a real step back in time to rainbow it up with all kinds of pink. And on a random note, I wonder if a my little pony.

Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Washington and the pull of home. Not my bike but a kindred spirit. Kevin (At least I think that's what his name is. Man, I am bad with names) from Ontario, traveling on his Valkyrie for the summer. So I rode today from Castle Rock, Washington to Eatonville, Washington. It was only 80 miles and I was hoping to see Mt. Rainier but the clouds would not allow it. It was overcast and drizzly all the way through. For the first time in a while, 80 miles seemed like a little too much time...

Sunday, July 3, 2011. The first thing I did in the Seattle area was go to lunch with a friend at Dixie's BBQ. Dixie's BBQ is an old auto garage that's been turned into a BBQ with some good grub. They have a sauce simply called "The Man" that is only for people who like their food to hurt them. The next day I rode around the area enjoying the nice weather and the good scenery. It'sbigger out here. I was riding around for hours and haven't covered hardly any of the Olympic Peninsula. July 3, 2011 at 9:53 PM.

Friday, April 15, 2011. The roughest 60 miles. These past 17,000 miles I've gotten rained on, hailed on, snowed on. I've warmed myself in a gas station while it was 29 degrees out and I still had an hour to ride. One time I had to wipe ice off my windshield to see through it. I've ridden through rain so hard I had to slow down to 30 mph on a freeway just so I didn't override my visibility. The worst disaster that a biker can ride in, is traffic in the L.A. metro area. Monday, July 25, 2011. Bears and pic-a-nic baskets. I was looking at a map at this place called Yellowstone National Park and I see this campground called "Mammoth Hot Springs". I decided to break my cardinal rule of not paying for lodging to camp out here. Who doesn't love a good soak in hot springs? Turns out you're not allowed to enter the hot springs here. They're just for looking at. It was a little disappointing, but even still, not even Björgólfur Thor Björgólfsson. Himself could buy a better view.

Saturday, September 24, 2011. I got out of the badlands as fast as I could, and while it was beautiful, and I got to see some mountain goats up close, it was so hot that even thinking about stopping for pictures made me nauseous. Thursday, January 20, 2011. If a door closes in the woods. I've always said that our lives are generally in balance. Ultimately, whichever side of the ever flipping coin we perceive is simply the one we focus on. There will always be forces pulling or pushing on us at different times and without opposing forces doing the same we'd probably just go crazy: lost in the euphoria that it doesn't get any better this, or crushed under the unbearable weight of knowing that it doesn't get any better than this.

Friday, June 24, 2011. I have successfully left San Jose. I went through Sacramento and Redding into Oregon where I passed through Ashland, Crater Lake, Eugene, and Portland (where I currently sit).
