At that time I didn’t know that was possible. I thank God everyday for my wonderful husband, who has given me 2 beautiful children (and hopefully more in the future) that I couldn’t imagine life without. He is an amazing father to them. A couple of weekends ago we went to Eckerts so we could pick pumpkins and apples. All I have to say is what a difference a year makes…. Look at how big my girl has gotten in a year! Robinson is wonderful, and I love my students.well most of them! Right now, I'm just trying to keep my head above water! We saw on the news last night that we were supposed to get some winter weather today, but I could have never imagined this much. Even though it was really hard to get out of bed this morning, I finally woke up, got ready and headed to Robinson High School for another day of teaching Geometry. Everyone was thrilled and began making plans for snowmen and snow angels as soon as the bell rang.

Often, the only outspoken lactivists are mothers who are currently nursing their children, or have nursed them in the past. The lactivist community is strong, but insular - demonstrations are often nurse-ins, and understandably, conversation in lactivist groups tends toward the ins-and-outs of being a nursing mother. Breastfeeding is more than a mom's issue. It's an everybody issue. The baby needs food.
