Bringing awareness to Type 1 Diabetes by chronicling the life of a toddler with Type 1. Saturday, October 5, 2013. Type 1 Diabetes Walk for a Cure. We did our first "Walk for a Cure" in Tulsa this year. It is hosted by the JDRF to help fund more research and better treatments for Type 1 Diabetes. We did our best to spread awareness about this disease and raise funds for the cause leading up to the walk. I even did a news interview on our local news station! News interview with KXII. Walk for a cure.
