The Diary of a Tractor Girl: April 2012
http://diaryofatractorgirl.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
The Diary of a Tractor Girl. Weekly comments on Ipswich Town and the life of a long distance fan. Tuesday, 3 April 2012. GUEST BLOG: 'George Best ran us ragged and the crowd were baying for Bobby Robson's head'. When my sister and I were travelling to Vicarage Road last weekend we bumped into some Newcastle United fans spending the day in London. They asked who we were playing that day and we chatted a little about how well our respective teams were doing recently. Doesn't it make you proud? You've proba...
The Diary of a Tractor Girl: June 2012
http://diaryofatractorgirl.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
The Diary of a Tractor Girl. Weekly comments on Ipswich Town and the life of a long distance fan. Tuesday, 12 June 2012. Band of Hope and Glory. Euro 2012 finally kicked of for. Fans last night with their team's first game of the campaign against. The one all draw seems to have satisfied most fans, though there will always be those who believe that isn't a good enough result: usually the same people who decided months ago that. Weren't even going to get past the group stages. But it seems there are some ...
The Diary of a Tractor Girl: November 2012
http://diaryofatractorgirl.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
The Diary of a Tractor Girl. Weekly comments on Ipswich Town and the life of a long distance fan. Monday, 5 November 2012. Come the final whistle, I felt like we had won promotion": a fans eye view of ITFC's trip to Birmingham. At 16:54 on Saturday afternoon I received a phone call, it was one I'd recently come to dread - but this time it was different. Trying to capture the emotion, happiness and pure rush of Saturday is one of the most difficult things I think I've had to do. Even after all these years...
The Diary of a Tractor Girl: February 2015
http://diaryofatractorgirl.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
The Diary of a Tractor Girl. Weekly comments on Ipswich Town and the life of a long distance fan. Tuesday, 24 February 2015. Reading an all too familiar story at Portman Road. The fairy tale season for Ipswich Town has taken a further turn of worry this week, with the feeling of disappointment and slight despair becoming a little too familiar. It’s virtually the same players, so what has changed for us to go from beating promotion favourites Boro, to losing to fourteenth placed Reading? Ipswich Towns tra...
The Diary of a Tractor Girl: My China Town anniversary
http://diaryofatractorgirl.blogspot.com/2014/08/my-china-town-anniversary.html
The Diary of a Tractor Girl. Weekly comments on Ipswich Town and the life of a long distance fan. Tuesday, 5 August 2014. My China Town anniversary. It was a Friday evening, the day my life was changed forever. The result that night could not really have set me up much better for a lifetime of supporting Town: with Cambridge going one nil up inside the first five minutes, Simon Milton scored the equaliser on 6 minutes. I was so excited by the noisy start to the game. The score remained the same until 45 ...

Current Affairs, Music, Japan and Me. Monday, 31 December 2007. New year, working in radio, and blog neglect. Ok, so I feel bad for neglecting my blog for over two weeks. so I'll try to make this one a good post! At the moment I am working in radio, manning the news room of The Pulse in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Covering all the big stories in Huddersfield, Halifax and Bradford and anything international that comes up. Writing the stories then reading them live on air. Labels: BBC Radio Manchester. Tomor...

Current Affairs, Music, Japan and Me. Saturday, 1 December 2007. Japanese Test / 日本語のテスト. Tomorrow is another day of judgement for my (and millions of other people around the world) as we sit out Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). I will be sitting 4-kyuu, which is the first level (ranging from 4-kyuu up to 1-kyuu), and am extremely nervous! So good luck to anyone out there sitting the exam! そして、今日本語でファイナルファンタシーVIIをします。 すごい! Jordan Allen: two gigs last night...
http://jordan-allen.blogspot.com/2008/01/two-gigs-last-night.html
Current Affairs, Music, Japan and Me. Thursday, 24 January 2008. Two gigs last night. OK, so I managed to obtain two tickets to see the Spice Girls at the MEN arena last night. I also got entry to the press conference beforehand. No, I didn't! I had another gig lined up. Mine! I played at Jabez Clegg in Manchester last night, and was glad I did that rather than go to the Spice Girls. Backing me on the bass was Rory Holland of headline band Destroy The Evidence. The setlist ran as so. Goodies to look at.

Gun toting pacifist: Foundphotos
http://jamesfordham.blogspot.com/2008/01/foundphotos.html
Wednesday, 30 January 2008. Everybody gather round and share in the delights of Foundphotos. A collection of accidentally brilliant images. The photos are collected (or stolen as far as I can make out) from all over the world. Users of file sharing. Websites for downloading music, often make their photo albums publicly available, along with their collection of rare Britney b-sides. All for a good cause though as the results are hypnotisingly good. Not like your family. I *love* that wedding photo :-).
Gun toting pacifist: October 2007
http://jamesfordham.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 October 2007. Michael Jackson: What really happened. This was the title of a documentary screened on Channel 4. In the UK last night. Yes, apparently this is Jacko). After reading a piece in the Guardian Guide. On Saturday, which was written by the programme maker. I was genuinely looking forward to watching it. Although the article was fairly open ended and didn't really tell me much, I guessed that this was because he wanted readers to watch the programme. Peretti came up with the idea tha...
Gun toting pacifist: Bianca Bohl, Cobden Club, Monday February 25
http://jamesfordham.blogspot.com/2008/02/bianca-bohl-cobden-club-monday-february.html
Thursday, 28 February 2008. Bianca Bohl, Cobden Club, Monday February 25. The Grand Hall of the Cobden Club in Ladbroke Grove. Looks more like a film location than the usual sticky-floored dive that most gig-goers are used to. This is probably appropriate for Westminster student, Bianca Bohl. And her 6-piece band. Bohl's ensemble fill the high ceilinged hall of this private members club with sumptuous music fit for the cinema. This creates an awkward gap between the crowd and the band. Parts of the gig a...
Gun toting pacifist: I love Valentine's day... honest!
http://jamesfordham.blogspot.com/2008/02/i-love-valentines-day-honest.html
Friday, 15 February 2008. I love Valentine's day. honest! Valentine’s Day makes me sick, I just wish I’d kept that to myself and not told the girlfriend. If you were out on Thursday night, I’m sure you all saw it – supposedly lovesick couples, fawning over each other everywhere you turned. Please don’t get me wrong, I am not averse to public displays of affection and have been prone to wretch-inducing behaviour myself. Suddenly everyone is gazing into each other’s eyes like opticians on ecstasy. Apparent...

Jen's Journey
Diary of a tough girl, going through this Cancer journey, with Faith in Jesus Christ sustaining her (Jeremiah 29:11). Sunday, November 20, 2016. A few summers ago, when I was working in Solon, I started attend a college-age group called Standpoint, based out of Parkside Church. It was close to work, so I'd grab a light dinner, and head over to Dan and Olivia's house after work. They always welcomed me with open arms, and eventually their kindness and love drew my entire family to Parkside. You work all t...

Diary of a Tour Widow
Hey hey hey.it’s been a while. I thought it would be a good time to write a quick update of some sort. I had very good intentions on catching up with y’all last weekend but it simply did not happen. And for good reasons at that. I’m trying to find the things that make me happy and challenge me. I’m trying to feel less isolated (which I’m beginning to think is part of the problem since moving to Quebec). So, do you want the good recent news or the bad recent news? Let’s get the bad out of the way first.

The Diary of a Tractor Girl
The Diary of a Tractor Girl. Weekly comments on Ipswich Town and the life of a long distance fan. Friday, 5 May 2017. Finale at Forest: Ipswich Town match preview. Laura and her Forest fan friends joined us in the Black Horse pub. After the final home game of the season in 2015. As I prepare myself to head for a weekend in Nottingham, I become very aware that, while we could have an impact on the relegation battle in this league, our own season has been completely insignificant. Their best player was sol...

Diary of an NQT. Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 28, 2013. Just another WordPress.com site. January 30, 2012. Well I have been a good girl and have been in the gym twice in the last two days. Yesterday saw a 1.25 hour work out and me pushing myself just a little further than the last visit. Having a low boredom threshold I decided to change my routine and to take a book with me to read (not the best idea I have ever had). Started my work out with a quick random setting and a read. I loved the book I am reading ‘Why Him? Meeting with the gym whip. January 27, 2012.
