http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-317-pasta-with-pistou-and.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Monday, November 21, 2011. Day 317 Pasta with Pistou and Vegetables. Christo is away and we've had enough of the no pasta, no rice rule. It's so boring and restricting. Watching Ricardo this morning with a cup of coffee and this recipe would not leave my mind. The Pistou a perfect substitute for pesto No nuts but using the last of our summer herb garden. Oil-packed chopped fleur d’ail (garlic scapes) or 2 cloves garlic, pressed. Finely chopped flat-leaf parsley. Day 313 ...

365 Days in a Food Loving Family: Day 308 Meatball Pizza
http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-308-meatball-pizza.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Monday, November 7, 2011. Day 308 Meatball Pizza. Meatball pizza sounds so boring but it is simply good pizza. Usijg the meatballs and sauce from a few days ago to mimic the version from our local pizzeria. Halving the meatballs and placing evenly and domelike atop makes appealing to the eye. The texture of the sauce is perfect for pizza. We baked on pizza stone in oven at 500. Finally getting the hang of the stone. Preheating and coating with cornmeal. Day 309 Naan Bread.

365 Days in a Food Loving Family: Day 312 Christos' Star Eggs
http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-312-christos-star-eggs.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Friday, November 11, 2011. Day 312 Christos' Star Eggs. Men do things differently than women and we love to gripe about it. I'm sure men gripe but we're not privy to those discussions or we would gripe about that too. One thing Christo brings to our childrens' day which exceeds my expectations is breakfast. He loved his breakfasts with his dad as a child. His father revved up the toaster and made stacks of toast, hot and buttery for his brood. 4 Slices Rye Bread. A year'...

365 Days in a Food Loving Family: Day 310...Marinated Chicken

365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Thursday, November 10, 2011. Day 310.Marinated Chicken. Chicken is so boring. We have eaten so much boneless, skinless chicken meals over the past twenty years that I can't even remember. They do not stand out. When I met my husband. I'm not really sure what was going on with him? As exclaimed by Julia Child. Marinade: (The longer the better). 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1/4 cup red wine vinegar. Juice of 1/2 lemon squeezed. 2 TBSP Dry Mustard. 1 Tbsp dried Oregano. Subscribe...

365 Days in a Food Loving Family: Day 315 Jerk Chicken & Grilled Pineapple
http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-315-jerk-chicken-grilled-pineapple.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Friday, November 18, 2011. Day 315 Jerk Chicken and Grilled Pineapple. We're having fun with pineapple today. Christo is in the mood to cook and making Jerk Chicken. We simply use a marinade chock full of scotch bonnet peppers and then grill the chicken. Boneless and Skinless as we're eating light and low carb. He looked up this recipe on the Internet as the best way to prepare/ grill pineapples which was the base for the Chicken. The flavours were spot on. Day 313 Jamai...

http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-316-spinach-salad-with-beets-goat.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Friday, November 18, 2011. Day 316 Spinach Salad with Beets and Goat Cheese. There is no passion in dieting. Restricting calories or carbohydrates loses novelty pretty quickly. Food allergies are hampering our menu selections. Tonight we're suffering another salad. A recipe from the fridge which inspires nothing but a recipe. Feeling pretty grim. 12 OZ Fresh Baby Spinach Leaves washed and dried. 6 marinated baby beets.halved. 6 oz Fresh Goats Cheese Crumbled. Day 307 May...

365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Friday, November 11, 2011. Day 313 Jamaican Guacamole and Plantain Chips. Avocados are on sale this week. We love them. the boys will not eat them but they do both like Guacamole. The idea for Guacamole with Banana Chips came from this weeks' Dinner Party Wars.a favourite program on Canadas' Food Network. We're relieved that we didn't do the program last year. We had considered and they had considered us but schedule got int the way. 3 medium Ripe Avocados. Day 316 Spina...

http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-311-smashed-butternut-squash-sage.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Thursday, November 10, 2011. Day 311 Smashed Butternut Squash and Sage. I'm sad because we're eating low carb again. Giving it a whirl for the 100th time. The double chin episode of myself within our programming necessitates action. This blog has been fun but not great for the waistline. Next year a possible "365 days Biggest Loser Family Edition.". Recipe below is awesome and filling and fills the potato/bread/pasta void capably. 4-5 Large Fresh Sage leaves, chopped.

365 Days in a Food Loving Family: Day 309 Naan Bread
http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/naan-bread.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Monday, November 7, 2011. Day 309 Naan Bread. This recipe is a big keeper. The boys loved this home made Naan. I spell it with 2 'a' s. Is this wrong? Ricardo spells it with one 'a' and his recipe is so right. We served with Chicken Tikka Masala. We top our curries with small bowls of goodness. Coconut, currants, chutnery, mini slices of cucmber, diced onions. You can choos what you like. Indian cooks know how to make butter taste even more buttery. Sprinkle the pizza st...

365 Days in a Food Loving Family: Day 302 Death By Shepherds Pie
http://carmelle-foodie365.blogspot.com/2011/11/day-302-death-by-shepherds-pie.html
365 Days in a Food Loving Family. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Day 302 Death By Shepherds Pie. In March 2010 our family made the choice, with my fathers' blessing that he would enter Hospice Care. It was almost as terrifying to us as it was to him. Watching him leave home by ambulance, dressed up for the trip in a nice sweater and leather jacket after the many months of nightclothes. At 66, fully cognizant that this was his final car trip and he had left home forever. 1 LB Ground Beef. 1 LB Ground Pork.
