Dilettante Cocktailer: Corpse Reviver #2
http://dilettantecocktailer.blogspot.com/2012/03/corpse-reviver-2.html
Continuing to dabble in the fine art of the tipple (and writing about it over coffee in the morning)! Friday, March 30, 2012. The Partner had one tough week at work this week. So rather than tax him with something new, I made him our now standard Manhattan. For me, how could I not mix up something called the Corpse Reviver #2. I’ll need to find Reviver #1 – which Meehan ties to the Savoy Cocktail Book. Wow, was this enjoyable! Think of a smoooooth lemonade. 190; oz. gin. 190; oz. Cointreau. Shake with ic...

http://dilettantecocktailer.blogspot.com/2014/12/drinking-chocolate.html
Continuing to dabble in the fine art of the tipple (and writing about it over coffee in the morning)! Sunday, December 21, 2014. Drinking chocolate- spiked or not,. The perfect sippable winter dessert. It's been a busy week in the run-up to Christmas. While our annual Solstice celebration was pared. Down to just a few family and friends, there was a lot of cooking and baking to do. So no cocktails Friday night. Yet the Dilettante needs to post something. Happy solstice, everyone! Long live the Oak King.
Dilettante Cocktailer: Moscow Mule | 25 down 250 to go
http://dilettantecocktailer.blogspot.com/2011/06/moscow-mule-25-down-250-to-go.html
Continuing to dabble in the fine art of the tipple (and writing about it over coffee in the morning)! Saturday, June 18, 2011. Moscow Mule 25 down 250 to go. It’s been a week. Actually, it’s been several weeks. In a strange flip, I had to work on Saturday and The Partner did not. I made it known that when I got home I would be thirsty and would want something tall, cold and refreshing. By 7am yesterday morning I had already settled on the Moscow Mule. To fit the bill. 1 oz lime juice. 4 oz ginger beer.

http://dilettantecocktailer.blogspot.com/2015/01/winter-cocktails.html
Continuing to dabble in the fine art of the tipple (and writing about it over coffee in the morning)! Saturday, January 3, 2015. The weeks after Christmas are such fun as we. With our gifts. In the Dilettante's case, it's delving into a bar book from The Partner. Winter Cocktails: Mulled Ciders, Hot Toddies, Punches, Pitchers, and Cocktail Pary Snacks. A Del Mar Sacasa. I guess I'll just have to do. More planning over morning coffee. A freezing, rainy day, here in Chicago. Subscribe to Dilettante via RSS.
Dilettante Cocktailer: Hot Buttered Rum

Continuing to dabble in the fine art of the tipple (and writing about it over coffee in the morning)! Monday, January 5, 2015. Christmas came down Friday. Saturday we awoke to snow and freezing rain. Thus begins the dreary slide that is Chicago between New Year's and Memorial Day. So we are definitely in need of something to cozify. Having a new bar text. Specifically dedicated to winter cocktails is just what we need to warm our happy hour cockles! It sounds so rich and comforting, doesn't it? The first...

Dabbling Dilettante
Changing diapers continuously since 2004. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. A Tuesday in January. It's telling that I almost didn't remember the password to Blogger and first I put in the wrong email address. Here's what I've been doing. Read all 4 Twilight books in one month. Christmas, Holidays, etc. Bemoaning the lack of snow in Central Virginia. Now I'm reading The Historian because Twilight set me off on a mini-vampire kick (nowhere near the extent of my Anne Rice forays of the 90s). Wednesday, October 22,...
Dilettante Dance of Baltimore
Thursday, July 29, 2010. Ironic Moustachios and Sincere Sentiment: Miguel Gutierrez and Jenny Holzer at ICA. The following is a review of the collaborative work of Miguel Gutierrez and Jenny Holzer. At the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, 7/28/10. When I think of Miguel Gutierrez, my stomach gets gushy- he is a man who invites hugging. I had the pleasure of seeing Miguel Gutierrez and the Powerful People ( MGPP. One time before last night's collaborative performance at the ICA. Which is probably ...
