DILLIGAF Sailing Race Team, Sailing like we mean it. Leg 2 – “Put another quarter in the wind machine please”. June 9, 2013 in Van Isle 360 race. The weather was gorgeous, the wind was perfect, we had a great start and a great day… until about 2:00 when we started to fall back, and back, and back as we lost the afternoon wind. But what would have been even better is if we had won instead of second last! We’re trying to upload photos – but so far no luck from our motel room. Sponsored by Longwood Brewery!

DILLIGAF Sailing Race Team, Sailing like we mean it. Leg 1 – So close yet so far……. June 8, 2013 in Van Isle 360 race. We DNF’d – DID NOT FINISH! Above milling at the start line. We did two passes of the Pier for the crowd prior to star sequence. ON the second we put a reef in the main and put up our storm jib for inspection. This in honour of the fact that all 6 of us and maybe the only boat to have a full complement had taken the BC Sailing Offshore Personal Safety Courses. Oh well we still had a beaut...

We’d have more on the blog and lots more pictures up but we’re having problems getting good internet for uploads. Tomorrow up at 0345 for leaving harbour at 0430 to make Seymour Narrows and then on to Hardwicke Island Marine Harvest site. So we’ll have something to report in Telegraph Cove in a couple days.
