Sunday, 31 December 2006. Well nearly. We're surrounded by our preparations for Nepal - money, tickets, passports, clothes . and batteries. Batteries look as if they might be useful. You can plug them into a USB port to charge them up, without needing anything else. Hopefully they can be charged at a friendly cybercafé in Kathmandu. Wednesday, 17 January 2007. On Monday we braved a second expedition to Thamel. A busy area of Kathmandu with many shops. Thamel would not be such a bad place if it were not for the traffic and the beggars. Many of the shops are very interesting.
