Thursday, April 14, 2005. NQC)FO* and the new Science Knits webring. Are you a scientist by trade, but a fiber artist by hobby? Do you sneak your knitting into the lab? Have you ever spent a boring seminar dissecting the cable pattern of the person sitting in front of you? I've started a new webring just for us: Science Knits. I have quite a few knitting friends at my current job, and i know there are many others out there. I was inspired by Theresa's blog poll. Well here's proof positive:. I'm hoping to...

Skeintily Clad: March 2005
http://skeintilyclad.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 24, 2005. I have no clue. I was recently gifted a big bag of white/creamish FIBER. The previous owner said it was llama clippings. I still don't know how he ended up with a bag of llama fiber, but oh well! I have no idea how to clean and prepare this. do they have lanolin? Should i treat it like wool? I don't know. This fiber didn't feel very oily before i washed it, but now i may have changed my mind. Inspired by Sheila, of Mutually Reclusive. Posted by Dharia @ 12:09 PM. I started block...

Last week, i ordered 1 lb of roving that was grown by a sheep named Sydney at Skylines Farm. By thursday i was in posession of this:. Saturday afternoon i balled it up and cast on for the Yarn Harlot's. Apparently, she had decided to reach her muzzle...

http://skeintilyclad.blogspot.com/2007/02/when-yarn-speaks-you-do-she-wants.html
Friday, February 23, 2007. When the yarn speaks, you do she wants. Clapotis has been on my "to knit" list for a long time. (not just in my head. look, its over there in the sidebar! I've been waiting for the right yarn to come along and tell me that it belongs to that pattern. I have 600 yards, so i'm making a more scarf-y (less wrap-y) sized Clapotis. One of the skeins came out darker with almost no pink in it, but the other two match. Posted by Dharia @ 5:09 PM. At 2/24/2007 1:59 PM. A laboratory scien...

http://skeintilyclad.blogspot.com/2007/02/fun-with-felidae.html
Wednesday, February 28, 2007. I finished my clapotis! I'm wearing it today (unblocked, of course) and i love it. I forgot to take pictures of it because i was too busy torturing my cat. We dressed her up like RapCat. And took many embarassing photos. And to add to the fun, Big O got a Wii last week. So now we can look at silly websites and watch YouTube videos on our TV! It was nice knowing y'all. Its very probable that i will be suffocated in my sleep tonight. Posted by Dharia @ 7:35 PM. This is a Flick...
