http://dirthappy.blogspot.com/2013/10/100-plants-that-almost-changed-world.html

100 Plants That Almost Changed The World. Is a recent publication by Chris Beardshaw. (You might remember him from a video I posted last year. Entitled Apples: British to the core. To my delight, the Chelsea Flower Show veteran joined the Beechgrove Garden team this year). It's a fun read. Light and informative with beautiful artwork. My loofahs didn't thrive, sorry. These gourds will have to do. :P. Here's an excerpt of the book:. Chris Beardshaw - Making magazine - Crafts Institute. Sorry for the month...

Pretty, palmate leaves, displaying some yellowing, here, unfortunately. Container growing is not my forte! Smooth, slipper-like fruit. I tried this tex-mex recipe. greens and jeans: August 2010

http://greensandjeans.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 30, 2010. I picked 3.75 pounds of grapes from our green grape vine. The photo of the bowl full of grapes didn't make it on the camera card so this photo of more on the vine will have to suffice. I used them to make grape juice and canned 4 pints of juice. The tomatillos are collecting on the counter and I need to make a salsa with them. However, they are the tiny pineapple tomatillos so I think it will just make one batch of fresh salsa. Total this week: 28.68 pounds. You can see what othe...

We put higher fences to keep the poodle in, and the result is actual day lilies blooming! My husband took this clethra with the telephoto, since we were trying to photograph hummingbirds, but the light was nice. Links to this post. Sunday, July 14, 2013. Links to this post.
