Thoughts from a makeshift retreat. This was written as a tribute to my friend, now gone. The shocking griefs and potential gift of depression. A close friend took his own life month. I was stunned when I found out, and kept wanting to check in to ask what was going on, and was he ok? Kind of like how we kept close tabs on each other during a recent hurricane: Are you evacuating?
