Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Day 017, 018 and 019 - Kayaking/Camping the Johnston Straight. Day 017 –. Kayaking with North Island Kayaks. We woke up at 4am, packed up the whole campsite and were on the road by 4:25pm. Packing up camp in the dark was interesting, but not as crazy as setting up camp in the dark and rain like we did with Ash and Annie a few years back. Two and a half hours on the road and we arrived to the tiny town of Telegraph Cove. Porpoise look like dolpins, but they are very different.

Saturday, January 14, 2012. Day 155 - Looking after 'Spirit' the Great Pyrenees. Lately we have been getting up super early to catch the sunrise as we are dog sitting at the moment and 'Spirit' the Great Pyrenees dog needs to go for a walk first thing in the morning. It's great because we have been getting some great sunrises. Here are some shots Sandrine took the other day. This is Sandrine walking 'Spirit'. The sun has come out finally. Where ever we drive 'Spirit' hangs out the window, she loves it.

Monday, October 31, 2011. Day 080 and 081 - Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel and Halloween. Sammy and Helene had to drop me into work at 7:30am in the morning which is still dark here. As the sun came up they headed to the 3 nearby lakes. Abit chilly ( Approx -2 wind chill). After they did abit of sight seeing I was done at work (3hr shift which feels kind of bitter/sweet) and we headed into banff to try and find the last of our snow gear. The amount of stuff you need just to stay warm here is ridiculous.
