Are you looking at my weevil? | Happy Snapping Nature Lover
https://lesleyb.wordpress.com/2007/07/16/are-you-looking-at-my-weevil
Happy Snapping Nature Lover. A couple of hours at Haldon. Not quite so rosy – the common footman. Are you looking at my weevil? That’s my weevil. It sits patiently on the wall outside when I leave in the morning, and there it is waiting for me in the evening when I return home. I wonder if I can train it to put the kettle on and make a cup of tea for me at 4:30pm…? One Response to “Are you looking at my weevil? Feed for this Entry. On April 18, 2009. The moths are back in town | Happy Snapping Nature Lover
https://lesleyb.wordpress.com/2008/06/17/the-moths-are-back-in-town
Happy Snapping Nature Lover. The moths are back in town. Ooh, the excitement today – spotted and snapped one of the first few moths of the year on the old moth wall. I think this is a lime-speck pug moth. But I could be wrong. Hopefully this bodes well for the coming summer. I’ve been thinking lately about putting out a moth trap in the garden to see what I can attract… can anybody recommend the best low-cost trapping technique? Summer Snowflake | Happy Snapping Nature Lover
https://lesleyb.wordpress.com/2008/03/16/summer-snowflake
Happy Snapping Nature Lover. In the middle of the storm. Wasn’t it nice today… I mean lovely. A little something I snapped a few weeks ago. I think it was in Shaldon. I was out for a wander today and spotted some flowers on the verge, and while looking them up (sweet violet, in white) I recognised these little babies from my photo archives. That’s all. Nothing more to add. Spring is springing, the new life has begun. No Responses Yet to “Summer Snowflake”. Feed for this Entry. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Bee orchid | Happy Snapping Nature Lover
https://lesleyb.wordpress.com/2008/06/10/bee-orchid
Happy Snapping Nature Lover. Wasn’t it nice today… I mean lovely. The moths are back in town. Spotted on the way home yesterday, a variety of bee orchids by the roadside. It’s amazing what you see when you are on your bike instead of blasting around in your car. I’ve not been very prolific of late. There are reasons which I won’t go into here, but regardless to say I’ve been busy and it’s all been good… really, really good. No Responses Yet to “Bee orchid”. Feed for this Entry.
