Musical Mama and The Green Thumb: Toddler Years
http://www.musicalmamagreenthumb.com/2013/08/toddler-years.html
Thursday, August 22, 2013. I keep reading all of these things about the toddler years and how they fly by or how toddlers need one thing or another. Well I agree with the first bit. This time in Grant's life seems to be flying by. This post is solely about him so be prepared for pics and me oozing my love for him all over the rest of the page . This kid LOVES slides and can pretty much go down them all by himself. When did that happen? He's sweet with other kids and generally avoids conflict, with other ...

Now that you have been briefed, why don't we take a look at what blood was spilt this year. Just kidding. Here are the pics for reals though. The race for the candy wa...

Wednesday, February 13, 2013. How to Get Your Kids To Practice Without Pulling Your Hair Out. I am not a parenting expert. Not in this or any galaxy would someone claim me to being the queen of all parents, but I do know a thing or two about teaching. After 12 years of teaching privately and in public school situations, I have learned a few things. One of the main questions I hear time and time again is how to keep kids motivated while learning to play an instrument. Set a general time and be flexible.

Musical Mama and The Green Thumb: Devil Went Down To Georgia
http://www.musicalmamagreenthumb.com/2013/08/devil-went-down-to-georgia.html
Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Devil Went Down To Georgia. Just had a fiddle recital in the park with my students. I decided to have the last number be Devil Went Down to Georgia because I know it is a crowd pleaser. Why do I know this? Pretty much every concert or wedding I have ever played for, some old man will walk up to me and ask if I can play the above mentioned song. They say this like if I can play it, I will be a true musician. Ha! August 28, 2013 at 11:05 AM. Ok that was pretty much AWESOME!
