Twenty-one months ago we decided it was the right time to add just one more to our family of four. We were over the moon excited! The anticipation of the two pink lines was almost too much for me! I KNEW it was coming! Heck, it would probably end up being twins! That's ok, I thought. I can handle twins. But there was good news! Not once did I consider that we would end up empty handed that month.

I really believe that she is going to grow up with a very dry sense of humor - my favorite kind. She can say anything with a straight face, and it cracks me up! So to stay in line with my budgeting goals I opted to cut Allison's hair myself. Equipped with a nice pair of scissors borrowed from a neighbor, I set to work. Thursday, September 2, 2010. The doctor's office called me on Monday and the results are in! 1:10,000 chance for down syndrome and 1:10,000 chance for trisomy 18. I think this means baby is looking pretty healthy! I'll go in for a follow up blood draw in a few weeks to receive detailed and conclusive results. So far, so good. :-). Monday, April 20, 2009. Case of the Mondays. Today started out as a real bummer. I learned that I was not shorted any pay from my previous job. I was paid out for it 2 weeks ago and indeed, all I earned was approximately $100. Incredible strike to the ego. It's incredibly difficult when you go from a two income household to one and on top of that you have your bills. They never go away. Ever. Saturday, April 18, 2009. We came across many animals (lost dogs and ducks crossing the street! I am so relieved.
