The Oregon Trail: Waves of Change
http://oregonbrooke.blogspot.com/2011/05/waves-of-change.html
Tuesday, May 24, 2011. It's been a busy past few months. In fact, I can't believe it's almost summer. Some new and exciting things have happened so far this year:. I tried snowboarding (twice). I fell a lot (a LOT), but I had a BLAST. I can't wait until next winter when I can do it again. I finally ate my first oyster. It was baked with delicious things on top. So good. I joined a softball team for the summer. We won our game this week (my first game)! Amidst all of this, I am eagerly working on my appli...

The Oregon Trail: July 2010
http://oregonbrooke.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 15, 2010. People are strange when you're a stranger. I'd like to share a quote from my favorite show, "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Larry: "I don't like talking to people I KNOW, but strangers I have no problem with.". I wholeheartedly agree with Larry. I am (in)famous for striking up conversations with strangers. Some great things have happened as a result of this! Speaking of Larry, last night I dreamed that I met him! Thursday, July 8, 2010. In the past couple of months, I have:. 6 devised an...

The Oregon Trail: January 2011
http://oregonbrooke.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 21, 2011. Yesterday started off really crappily, mostly due to not feeling well. But then at some point in the morning I resolved "it's only going to get better." and it sure did! So what made the day so glorious? 1 I finally made contact with (and heard back from) a graduate school program I'm looking at applying to. 2 Peja Stojakovic is now a Dallas Maverick! 4 Had a great workout. It was my first workout in.too long. 5 It was sunny, and the sunset blew me away. Go Green Travel Green.

The Oregon Trail: October 2009
http://oregonbrooke.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 15, 2009. I have been TERRIBLE about updating my blog. Admittedly I attribute this in part to the feeling that the wonderful things about Oregon I have loved are no longer a novelty to me, though I continue to enjoy them. Perhaps I should change the name/focus of the blog. But truth be told, I. I've also been busy outside of work with my book clubs, a Pilates class I recently started, volunteering at the KLCC radiothon, going to Duck games, and planning upcoming events! From September 0...

The Oregon Trail: August 2009
http://oregonbrooke.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Today I was thinking about which years in recent life have been my "best" or favorite years. Then I nodded and realized they occur every three years. (3 is inexplicably my favorite number). 2007 - My hair was doing amazing things this year. I also made some new and amazing friends whilst having a blast with my current friends. 2004 - I went to Costa Rica, made new and amazing friends, loved my job, did well in school, learned a LOT, and went to Bonnarooooo. Line in the sand.

The Oregon Trail: January 2010
http://oregonbrooke.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 27, 2010. In the time since I lasted posted, a few things have happened. A) I went to Texas for a fabulous 10 days split between family/friends in Dallas and best good friend time in Austin with Sarah. While it was a whirlwind of a trip and left me pretty exhausted, I had a great time. There's something beyond comforting about being "home.". I definitely think I'm on the upswing as January comes to a close. I've done a lot of thinking about a lot of different things. Luna, life...Sayin...
