Archive for September, 2006. Tokyo Central Station and Imperial Garden. September 26, 2006. Today (Sunday 14th of August )I went to visit Tokyo Central Station. Of the station is the outside. I don’t know much of architecture but this is something that changes from everyday view in Tokyo. A welcome change I must say. Must be without a doubt one of the most beautiful. August 18, 2006. Today (Friday the 12th) we had our third and final schooltrip. We went to Ginza to see Kabuki. The fact that only men are allowed to play kabuki is also a interesting thing. Before women where allowed to play but because of rivalry among the other male artists women where forbidden to play kabuki. From that time on young boy’s played women parts. But that led to homosexual feelings among the male players so the Edo bakufu made a rule that only adult men could play kabuki. August 13, 2006.

Archive for August, 2006. August 18, 2006. Today (Friday the 12th) we had our third and final schooltrip. We went to Ginza to see Kabuki. I wasn’t the only one who toughed that 3h was too long. Almost half of the group fell asleep halfway the play. Some others escaped during breaktime ( wished I toughed of that ). Again taking pictures was forbidding so no pictures of the kabuki play sorry.
