Mildred Irene Needleworks and Collectibles. Connie Jo de Belloy. This pin cushion front is made from an old French grain sack. The stripes are. Indigo blue. The back is made from an old tattered textile; perhaps a. Tablecloth, bed covering or drape. This is my last pin cushion from that. Grain sack. It is stitched entirely by hand with embroidered x's in a neutral colored thread, all around the seam line. I stuffed it with crushed walnut shells which helps to sharpen needles and pins.
