Earlywork - Onion Patch

A Mouse Kind of Life. We all know it's getting to be that time of year. When Mr. Mouse is finding a place to take up residence. Well, I've helped him get a few things in order. Starting out with the very old tin tobacco box. Measuring approx. 4 1/4 x 3 x 1 1/2 inches. I then made a matress out of linen and stuffed it with raw wool. His blanket is from an old old quilt - his pillow, the same. A crusty hat pin is used to prop up the lid. Now on to Mr. Mouse. He is made of German mohair and glass bead eyes.

I'm already thinking of cooler weather after a long, hot summer here in Texas. So this month I have a fun. fall punchneedle for you. It features a dark grey and black kitty and a smiling Jack o Lantern. This is a good sized piece, it measures 7" x 8". I used 6 strands of DMC floss, and it is backed and bound with wool. My photos don't capture the true colors, its a bit deeper than it appears, and has been lightly stained with walnut ink. Cat and Pumpkin Punchneedle is $53 including first class shipping.
