Wednesday, January 28, 2009. We were missing snow in a big way so we drove up to Tahoe last weekend. We can walk outside without drowning in a pool of our own sweat. So we are starting our China explorations in earnest. We went to the Giant Panda Breeding Station in Chengdu today. It is an amazing place, like the San Diego Zoo, except only for pandas. We took roughly one million photos of the pandas. We were fortunate enough to have visitors come all the way to China from California. We had a lot of fun but the biggest thing we did was to take a trip to 黄山 (Huangshan).
