El Kab is perhaps most famous for its beautiful Tombs, but there are also a few Temple ruins in the area. This region was sacred to the goddess Nekhbet, She of Nekhen, who was the Goddess of Upper Egypt. The hole Area is called Hieraconpolis and there are remains of all periods, from Predynastic to Ptolemaic. This site will show you the remains of the New Kingdom and what already is open to visit. There are a few Temples left from the New Kingdom:. The Chapel of Toth. The Temple of Amenhotep III.

The Botanic Garden is a small hall in witch the Sanctuarium of the Sed Temple was. The walls of the chamber are much damaged, but enough remains to give it a visit, to take a look at the walls, they are carved with Flowers, Fruit, Byrds, lants and Animals, witch were to be found in the temple Gardens and witch had mostly been brought by Tuthmosis III from Syria in the twenty-fifth year of his reign. Entrance of the Botanic Garden. Different kind off Byrds are shown between the Flowers and Plants.
