Uilt during the 1830's, Bordesley Hall was the main house for the Bordesley estate, which dates back to the Domesday Book. After 1830 parts of the estate were sold off until only Bordesley Hall and about 20 acres of the park still remained. The Patrick family (of Patrick Motors Ltd) bought it in the early 1900's and in 1942 BCIRA (British Cast Iron Research Association) purchased the hall to set up offices and laboratories.
