Life as i observe it. Monday, December 26, 2011. In line to go through airport security:. TSA agent: *holds up drivers license. looks at me.*. TSA agent: *clearly didn't like that* that could be you. TSA agent: what is your name? Internal response: you're so good at your job. if i had a fake ID right now, you would have figured it out. there's no way i would have memorized the name on a fake ID. you're very smart and strong. superior to me in every way. i cower before you. Books, Books, Books.

Four Men And A Lady. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. On the first day of first grade, I'll tell you what he did. Drew was less than thrilled with all my picture taking :). Joseph wasn't happy about having to leave Jacob at school. his lower lip started quivering and it was then that I realized that we needed to make a hasty exit before he and I started flooding the room. :). Posted by Four Men and a Lady. I titled my blog post about the first day of school using the same song! September 10, 2009 at 11:57 AM.

Life as i observe it. Thursday, April 21, 2011. Saturday, April 9, 2011. I should start out by reminding you that the Bible says not to covet your neighbor's ox, donkey, wife, or DAY. Because i had an amazing one. It began with waiting in line 40 minutes for a book sale. one of the library branches here sold all their books. at least it seemed that way to me. i got 8 books for $5.25. hello. And then, well. Fact that's a fact. Hugo chavez: oil, politics, and the challenge to the U.S. And one more i'm not ...

Life as i observe it. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Last night was the Iowa Caucus, the first caucus or primary of this election season. The top three finishers were Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul. I learned today that John McCain endorsed Mitt Romney. It must feel really good to have the support of the man who lost to Obama last time. I wonder, though, which Mitt Romney. I also learned that the top 3 finishers were awarded the same number. Of delegates, which puts them on somewhat equal footing.

Life as i observe it. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Trying to keep The Team of People Assigned to Monitoring My Internet Activity busy, that's all. Dear Uncle," Manto wrote in one of the letters, "My admiration and respect for you are going up at about the same rate as your progress towards a decision to grant military aid to Pakistan.". From an article by Pankaj Mishra, titled "Dear Uncle Sam.Why do India and Pakistan see America in such opposite ways? Monday, September 19, 2011. Luke: there are no stupi...

Life as i observe it. Thursday, August 25, 2011. Today i told a coworker he is easy prey for a tyrannical government. 8 hours later, and i'm still laughing about that. the things that come out of my mouth these days. He is, though. On my drive to work today i thought too much about the un-merits of school zones. Remember that experiment that was done on college students several decades ago? So it is with school zone guards. Nobody ever ran over ME with a car. Thursday, August 18, 2011. That’ll fix ...

Life as i observe it. Sunday, March 27, 2011. This is what the decline of an empire looks like. I posted a version of this in december, but deleted it. some of you with google reader can still read it. because google reader defies the laws of the internet, and doesn’t delete anything. I deleted it because i want my blog to be a circus of insanity. it’s how i relieve life’s tension. but now i realize that my silence on this issue…is my consent. So here we go. Who remembers eric volz? I don't really know h...

Life as i observe it. Monday, February 7, 2011. A parking lot that i'm allowed to park in. A 30 minute lunch break, every day, PLUS two fifteen minute breaks. People who say "you can ask me any questions! Also, people who are nice. A supply room with no construction paper, or googly eyes. Conversations that take place in quiet voices. Screaming is not allowed. Bathrooms that i can use whenever the need arises. Free drinks. for me. to drink. when i'm thirsty, oh so thirsty. Well, there might be mothers.

Four Men And A Lady. Sunday, May 2, 2010. Another post entitled "It's been a while". To borrow a line from my favorite Amazing Race team, "oh my gravy"! I'm going to have to fire my secretary for not updating this thing for the last six months. :). Jason put in for a lateral transfer out of submarine, and God (via the Navy) has graciously granted it. Unfortunately it means two more moves before the year is over, but that shouldn't be too stressful, right? Posted by Four Men and a Lady. Basking in the Son.
