The Inside Flap: July 2006
http://emilyeryan.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 21, 2006. Grape Jelly and Fruitfulness. It is 5:30 in the morning, and I've been up for quite some time. Rather than bore you with the how's and why's, I'll simply share the random thought that is on my mind at this hour: Grape Jelly! We passed it out to our friends and family, and got rave reviews and plenty of requests for seconds. Somehow God took our little grapes and multiplied them like He did the fish and loaves in the Bible! I couldn't believe we had so many jars! Now for the lesson.

Friday, September 29, 2006. Life at the Ryan House. Wow, after only 3 1/2 weeks! I'll try to post some updated pictures sometime this weekend. Gideon has changed so much in just the short amount of time he's been here. And, I didn't think it was possible, but he's gotten even cuter! Posted by Emily Ryan at 2:18 PM. Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Here are some highlights of our first week. Love at first sight! What a cute face! His little nose is my favorite feature! Welcome to the world. The nurse talked...

The Inside Flap: May 2006
http://emilyeryan.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Over the past few months I have had such fun reading the blogs of many of my friends and family members, so I finally decided to give it a shot myself. As promised, I am attaching some maternity photos for those who have been asking to see what I look like fat! Thank you Lisa and Chrissy! I'll try to keep my posts to a minimum for now. I'm afraid that the writer in me could really take off with a blank slate like this to ramble on, so I'll try to spare you all. Until next t...

The Inside Flap: November 2006
http://emilyeryan.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 28, 2006. I don't have any more scheduled until January. I was also able to do a couple of book signings at my church, and that was a fun experience as well. The best part was that a couple of people bought books for some of my friends who I haven't seen or heard from in years! It was neat to know that the books were going to someone I once knew and I loved getting to write a personal note in them and possibly reconnect with these girls after all these years! But, for those days when we...

The Inside Flap: June 2006

Wednesday, June 14, 2006. The Cotton Candy Chronicles. At my doctor's appointment yesterday, the results were in. Good news - no, I do not have gestational diabetes (which is the whole point in screening in the first place). Neutral news - the sugar levels were lower than the cut off points, but still high enough for the doc to tell me to watch my sugar in take a little. Which means. No more cotton candy. :-(. Incidentally, I think. Store has the good stuff in stock now! Posted by Emily Ryan at 4:58 PM.

The Inside Flap: February 2007
http://emilyeryan.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 13, 2007. By picking the sonnet, it was like he was choosing to write. God with as much passion and feeling as if he were writing about a woman. ( Click here. For my favorite Donne sonnet). So for Valentine's Day today, I hope you'll think about Love not just in the romantic sense, but in the eternal, unconditional sense. For on a day that celebrates love, what better Love to celebrate than the Love of God. This one has a quiver full of arrows, and I've been hit by every one! And yes, i...

Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Last week was Baby Dedication at church, and Jason and I were honored to get to formally dedicate our little boy. Naturally, Gideon has been dedicated back to. And because Gideon looked so cute all dressed up in his first tie and vest, here are some bonus pictures. Hey Dad, I'm ready for you to teach me how to play this thing! Posted by Emily Ryan at 1:20 PM. Thursday, January 11, 2007. The very thought makes my heart hurt. I realize he's only four months old and I'm totall...

The Inside Flap: December 2006
http://emilyeryan.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 28, 2006. We didn't get to send Christmas cards to everyone this year, so here are a few pictures of our little family all dressed up in our holiday best. I hope you all had a great Christmas and are enjoying some downtime with your families before the new year. Love to all! Posted by Emily Ryan at 9:01 PM. Thursday, December 21, 2006. Once again, I am a proud aunt! I had always wanted to, but Meg didn't really want anyone but Ryan in the room. For some reason, drugs maybe? Well, I had...

The Inside Flap: April 2007
http://emilyeryan.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Emily's Theory of Relativity. Based on my "experience" as a mom, (all 7 1/2 months of it), I have come up with a very scientific theory that I would like to share. I've noticed my whole life that moms around the world always say that their baby is the cutest baby ever. Imagine my surprise when I had Gideon and discovered that they were all wrong. It turns out that. Was the chosen one. Was the one mom who, indeed, did have the cutest baby alive! How blessed and honored I felt!
