Monday, February 28, 2011. We had two jobs over the weekend- helping with Awana and doing construction. Friday, our kids helped with Awana. Kids watching Awana from the outside of our property. Game time for the younger kids! Cheering on the Green team! Even our teachers participated! Helping kids memorize Bible verses. The 8th graders prepared and sang a couple of songs for the kids. Saturday, we helped continue build the wall around the Care Center property. Taking a little break. And we are done!

Tuesday, April 5, 2011. This past semester, a student in my classroom accepted Christ as her Savior! This past week, the Makarios School had an Open House. Parents came, visited with teachers, asked questions, and explored their children’s classrooms. Lisela’s mom and I sat down together and talked about Lisela, and as I brought up the topic of Jesus, Lisela’s mom began to tell me how she and her husband had become Christians! Sunday, April 3, 2011. A fun way to enjoy God’s creation this afternoon!

Thursday, July 29, 2010. Does everyone know that I have accepted the Lord’s calling to stay in the DR for another year? He has given me a renewed desire and passion to continue working here, and I couldn’t be more filled with joy to be able to stay and serve in the DR for another year. Saturday, January 29, 2011. My Christmas gift this year was a ticket to the National Championship. My Dad surprised me with this huge and generous gift right after Auburn won the SEC Championship game, and I was in sheer and total shock…. Auburn is going to play in the National Championship?
