The American Woman: Luke's Firsts
http://www.the-american-woman.com/2014/01/lukes-firsts.html
Monday, January 6, 2014. Introduced Luke to the beach over the weekend! We headed to Santa Cruz for lunch and a bonfire to celebrate my moms birthday. Luke had so far slept through a lot of his first trips: two trips to the pumpkin patch and getting our Christmas tree. He was awake for the first part of the beach visit, so that was really exciting and I got a little camera happy! We were also able to get a family photo with all three of us smiling! The American Woman: Easiest Ever DIY Baby Blanket
http://www.the-american-woman.com/2013/06/easiest-ever-diy-baby-blanket.html
Thursday, June 20, 2013. Easiest Ever DIY Baby Blanket. Finished Luke's blanket last night and I am so excited about it! This triple crochet idea is the easiest thing ever. Well, to be honest my creation still didn't have perfect edges but I was able to crochet a border for camoflauge :). I went a bit larger than the tutorial. It will certainly double as a tummy time mat for our little dude. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Celebrating the frugal life! View my complete profile. A Single Life of Glory.

The American Woman: Rustic Elegant Wedding
http://www.the-american-woman.com/2011/08/rustic-elegant-wedding.html
Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Three years of marraige Four years of dating = making it past the so-called '7 year itch'! We had an absolutely awesome wedding which wouldn't have been possible without our fabulous families and family in Christ. Take a walk down memory lane with me. Cody proposed atop of Half Dome, Yosemite. So we used this picture (taken about 5 min after the "big question") and made postcard save-the-dates through this site. The tall, tin vases I found at a local flea market for cheap and add...

Tuesday, October 22, 2013. A Fall-tastic Dutch Apple Pie. Over the course of several baby naps I managed to make apple pie last week. Apples, especially green apples, are one of my favorite foods. I eat one nearly everyday (and often with a schmear of peanut butter! A friend gave us a huge bag of apples from her tree, more than an apple lover like myself could eat. So in honor of fall and memories of the apple tree at my parents house, an apple pie was in order! I will definitely use this recipe. At abou...

Thursday, August 29, 2013. Little Red Wagon Baby Shower. Last weekend my parents hosted our baby shower for Luke. My mom, friends and aunties all echoed my favoritism to big bold boy colors and threw a Little Red Wagon themed party! It was totally perfect and I have to share everything they worked so hard on- so get ready for a picture overload today! Lot's of blue candy was scattered on each table and the favors were chocolate chip cookies (tied with ribbon left over from our wedding. Seventh Month Bump...

Tuesday, May 15, 2012. DIY: Whipped Body Butter (Almond Joy in a Jar). Hope you remembered to show your momma some major love and appreciation on Sunday! This year I decided to show the love with some ultra rich body lotion. I used this recipe. Whole Foods sells shea butter at $25/3 oz! Now I didn't exactly measure these out to perfection.and it allllmost did me in. But I put these 3 rock-like butters in with the whole bottle of almond oil and microwaved it all down to a liquid. Then be sure ...Slowly bu...

Thursday, July 25, 2013. Terribly behind on posting these baby bump photos. But oh my goodness all I want to do is sleep these days! This little guy is definitely growing and taking everything from me! But I guess with Daddy being 6'4" in height, should I expect any less? And a nod to the little man! I've been told I have officially "popped"! And now I am coming up on needing the seventh month update! I am currently 29 weeks, although I was measuring 28 weeks along at my last appointment (3 weeks ago!

Thursday, June 27, 2013. This is more of an in.I finally used two of my remaning stashed giftcards over the past weekend and landed some really great home upgrades! I have been dragging my feet on selecting new towls for the bathroom, and I finally had the stars align for me when the perfect shade of buttery yellow towls showed up at Marshall's on the same day I remembered to bring my giftcard! I don't believe I ever mentioned that we (meaning Cody! Had a blue tint to it and was slowly driving me insane!
