Made for Movement: Prayers for Michele
http://made4movement.blogspot.com/2014/04/prayers-for-michele.html
Custom Costumes for Discerning Twin Cities Dancers. Saturday, April 5, 2014. Many of my clients have met and worked with my seamstress/tailor Michele Kielsa. I would ask you to keep her in your thoughts, and offer prayers for her today. In addition to all this, Michele's son-in-law posted to his Caring Bridge site yesterday that the Hodkins lymphoma that he has been fighting since before his wedding to Michele's daughter has returned for a third time. Moonbeams and Sunshine: Romantic Blossom Necklace from Ileana
http://fellowrover.blogspot.com/2010/10/romantic-blossom-necklace-from-ileana.html
Life under the eyes of the moon and the heart of the sun. Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Romantic Blossom Necklace from Ileana. A few weeks ago, I received this Romantic Blossom Necklace from Ileana of Enchanted Beads. The rose pendant also doubles as a brooch. I'm loving the necklace, and so does my Mama! In fact, she was the first who wore the brooch to her school's September mass. If you want to see more of Ileana's creations, check out her blog. Some of my favorites:. I Dream of You ring.

Moonbeams and Sunshine: October 2010
http://fellowrover.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Life under the eyes of the moon and the heart of the sun. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Diary of a Campaign. Last Saturday, we joined a "caravan" to support an uncle's bid for election as Baranggay Chairman of Ipil. Together with his seven kagawads. And their supporters, we braved the elements and took to the streets one last time before the campaign period officially came to an end. This was the first time I accompanied a campaign because I have a distaste for politics. With Tiyo (Uncle) Alan and my sister.

http://made4movement.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Custom Costumes for Discerning Twin Cities Dancers. Thursday, January 16, 2014. Hence the silly name for this post. I am particularly fond of the buttons on the cuff detail. Julie's confidence is a tremendous asset in design and fittings. Even in a moment of doubt, (like seeing condiments instead of flaming gorgeousness! She is always willing to move ahead from where we are. I appreciate her calmness and ability to be patient until a great next step presents itself. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Costume De...

Custom Costumes for Discerning Twin Cities Dancers. Friday, May 17, 2013. Nancy's Silk Skirt Gets a New Lease on Life. Seven years ago, Nancy brought me a wonderful silk georgette skirt. She wanted it used to create and ballroom costume and we decided that costume could be both a rhythm gown and a smooth dress, by making the skirt removable. It was her first ballroom costume collaboration and the results were good! AND I can show you the skirt in its new configuration! This is certainly the gown of a mor...

Made for Movement: February 2014
http://made4movement.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Custom Costumes for Discerning Twin Cities Dancers. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. It's easy to make a beautiful gown for a beautiful woman. Tracy fits that description. The ideas for her gown came from video clips on You Tube, featuring one of her favorite Latin dancers, in three different but similar costumes. We picked and chose components from each of the gowns, she chose her color, and we ordered Zircon dance crepe and stretch satin from Dance Sport International in England. Let me show you. Tracy ha...

http://made4movement.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Custom Costumes for Discerning Twin Cities Dancers. Thursday, December 12, 2013. Ursula is a really vibrant woman! She has a big personality, is artistic and creative, and has so much energy and enthusiasm that she literally fills my studio when she visits for her design meetings and fittings. I have never known a client for whom a peacock-inspired gown would be more appropriate! Since Standard gowns are seen mostly from the back, they need extra design attention provided to the back of the gown. We also...

Made for Movement: Leslie in Aqua
http://made4movement.blogspot.com/2014/02/leslie-in-aqua.html
Custom Costumes for Discerning Twin Cities Dancers. Thursday, February 6, 2014. I have made many costumes for Leslie. Each one, different from the last, and yet uniquely hers. I always ask my clients to provide a word of phrase that we can use to narrow the visual focus of the gown, and Leslie asked me to choose for her. Good thing I kinda know her dancing! Remember I said I have a harder time making decisions of my client's behalf if I am not confident about what their goal might be? I thought she looke...
