Europe In a Backpack: Dresden, Germany & Bruge and Brussels, Belgium
http://katiesackett.blogspot.com/2008/04/dresden-germany-bruge-and-brussels.html
Sunday, April 6, 2008. Dresden, Germany and Bruge and Brussels, Belgium. After Berlin, Abbi and I took a train to Dresden. This city was completely demolished by WWII and we could definitely tell that because all of the buildings were new (like in the states). We definitely loved the waffles and the chocolate, but we didn't experiment too much with the beer, so I can't give you a definite yes or no as to whether that part of the rumor is true. Brussels. wasn't my favorite city. Sure it is home to...What ...

Monday, March 31, 2008. OK I figured out where I went wrong when I got Thursday and Fridays activities mixed up. Thursday, March 20. We went to the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, like I said before. But after that, Matt and I headed to the Parliment building (where Big Ben is) and took a tour of that. The Great Hall area was AMAZING! And for some things that I left out of Amsterdam. my first day in Amsterdam (Easter Sunday) was the first time I saw snow all year! Europe In a Backpack.

Europe In a Backpack: Last Spring Break Stop: Barcelona
http://katiesackett.blogspot.com/2008/05/last-spring-break-stop-barcelona.html
Friday, May 16, 2008. Last Spring Break Stop: Barcelona. So, I haven't written in a while, so I thought I would finally write about my last stop on spring break: Barcelona. On April 7 (I know, it was a long time ago), Abbi and I took a 6:00 am train from Nice to Barcelona. We were on a train for 13 hours! It was very awkward and amusing. We finally managed to get out of there after an hour. The next day, Abbi and I just hung out. Believe it or not, it's definitely quite tiring traveling around for a ...

Europe In a Backpack: Back in Notts
http://katiesackett.blogspot.com/2008/05/back-in-notts.html
Friday, May 16, 2008. So there hasn't been TOO much going on in the past month, but I'll go through some highlights. The next weekend we took our last group field trip to the Lake District National Park. We drove in 2 cars and first stopped near the Yorkshire Dales in a little village called Haworth. This is where the famous Bronte sisters lived. We got a tour of the cottage plus a background information presentation about the family. It was really interesting. It's hard to believe that I will be graduat...
