Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Visiting with Connie and Duane in Decatur. We stopped by Connie and Duane on our way to the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau last week. They got a new home in Decatur and we wanted to see it. The home was beautiful. We also wanted to spend some time with family.and play games, grill outside, chat, be together. We did all that. It was pleasant. They must like to spend time with us too, because they came to join us on the second week-end of our vacation in Tennessee and that was awesome.

These birds have to go on various islands, typically, to lay eggs and breed. Otherwise, they live on the open Ocean. You might say. Is there not enough birds on solid ground for birders to see? Friday, November 22, 2013. Birding in Putnam brought a lot of rewards. Lots of ducks. We enjoyed several ducks that we have not seen this year yet until that trip. The scenery was gorgeous as well. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. A little family time. Christmas brought us together at our home in Macon. It was nice to see that all the Coquerels have still gotten together, though in smaller number. Many have returned back to France and Togo. We've had new additions. Chloe and Chelsea. How sweet! We're growing. And these new additions are just so adorable! We had games to play but we didn't play any. We were just happy to be together and .fellowship as a family. I hope this tradition continues.

The tent was comfortable. The days were pleasant, but the nights were chilly. We hiked every day, birding. There were a lot of trails around. We couldn't do them all. The birding was fun.
