View my complete profile. Sunday, February 5, 2012. Rock Run Falls along the Bucktail Path. It's up, it's down, it's all around! Does it get any better than this! So we won't bore you to death with all details of our caching adventure other than to say we found 19 caches and had a nice 6 mile hike in an absolutely beautiful area. One thing that became very apparent to us is that we were wrapped in the arms of nature. The beauty was indeed up, down and all around! By the way, the tail is blue on this jet.

It seemed apparent that these two young Eagles are beginning to wear on each others nerves. Chances are this will be the last time we see these Eagles before they take that first flight and fend for themselves. To witness that event would be awesome but will probably only be witnessed in our imagination for now. Time to do the wing exercises! The Right Place At The Right Time.

It's anyone's guess as to how many Snowy's will irrupt to Presque Isle and of course we have no clue how long they will stay. We are so fortunate to have spent time photographing these amazing Owls and hope to spend more time with them. To make it even sweeter there were large numbers of males as well as the females. Typically the male ducks are much more vibrant and colorful than the females. We hiked about a mile back in to one of our favorite scenic and moose places and caught the golden light of early morning on the mountain. Shortly after the golden light disappeared-we had a beautiful reflection of the mountain in the pond.

As the afternoon wore on, the clouds started moving in and some photographers packed up and left. I thought the clouds added "character" to the scene. I expanded my view by using a wider setting on the lens so I could capture more of the interesting clouds.
