In India: February 2009
http://maxineinindia.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Fun in the Sun. To my intense jubilation, we took a long weekend to journey down to southern India for a few days on the beach. Our flight down to Kerala was a refreshing change from the grueling train rides that we have become accustomed to; Kingfisher Airlines truly is a five-star experience! The bed was complete with mosquito netting that made us feel like tropical princesses. Our first full day was spent baking on the beach. It was hot! Monday, February 16, 2009. Where we ...

In India: To Amritsar and Beyond
http://maxineinindia.blogspot.com/2009/04/to-amritsar-and-beyond.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2009. To Amritsar and Beyond. Sorry, once again (! After the visit to the temple, we ventured back to the train station for our long ride home. Erin was pushed out of her seat by some rather inconsiderate Indian travelers, and Paige and I had the good fortune to be sat next to some party-hardy fellows who were sneaking Vodka into their cokes and smoking something suspicious smelling! The train rides are always an adventure, that’s for sure. April 9, 2009 at 8:25 PM.

In India: Visit to a Home Away from Home
http://maxineinindia.blogspot.com/2009/03/visit-to-home-away-from-home.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. Visit to a Home Away from Home. An outline of our weekend visit to Dharamsala…. Friday night: We board our train for the 10 hour ride to Pathankot. Saturday morning: We disembark in Pathankot and stumble our way to a bus station (located only through sheer luck at with no thanks to the vague directions given to us by the police) where we board a rather rickety-looking bus for the 3 hour trek up the canyon roads to Dharamsala. Now I sit in the office, nodding off every once in a wh...

http://maxineinindia.blogspot.com/2009/03/virus-river-and-holy-man.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2009. A Virus, The River and a Holy Man. Sorry for the delay on this post. Yesterday (Monday), my exhausted self did not have the energy to even think about writing a post; these witticisms are a lot of work! Haha First an update on our current office situation: I got some nasty computer virus through sharing my jump drive with people who work in the office. This morning when I arrived at work, my keyboard would not even work. Bad news bears! March 27, 2009 at 2:39 AM. It makes me exha...

Goodbye my LOVE.(Dumb and Dumber). Things I am going to miss about DC. Red line to Shady Grove. The walk to the office. Walking to Policy Impact…and feeling all businessy walking down the street in my skirt and high heel pumps. It’s fun feeling important or trying to make your self feel important. Answering the phones at Policy Impact “Good morning Policy Impact, this is Randi, how may I help you? Going to Chevy Chase Ward…the walk to church is gorgeous. The area it was in was so classy and the...New Yor...
