The good news is, we made it back home (finally) at 2 am on Monday morning. I have never been so happy to see license plates, be able to read signs, and fall into my bed. I am finding that when I am asked, with great enthusiasm, "How was your trip? When I returned, I feel like I never left. Life goes on. Nothing stopped to wait for m...The p...

Lithuania: Iki experiences

http://erintravels.blogspot.com/2006/06/iki-experiences.html

May 31-June 25: First time abroad. Friday, June 23, 2006. Every couple of days, we take a trip to the grocery store, aka Iki. This one is called Ikiukas - ukas: which means "mini." This one is right down the street from our dorm. Milk comes in a bag. Ketchup, or Catsup, or here, Kecupas - my first love. Although, I must confess, I did not buy any. I did, however, partake in some at a restaurant or two with my fries. Still, satisfiying. Posted by Erin Swanson at 5:03 PM. Missouri, United States. Getting l...

Lithuania: Biggest sand dunes in Eastern Europe

http://erintravels.blogspot.com/2006/06/biggest-sand-dunes-in-eastern-europe.html

May 31-June 25: First time abroad. Saturday, June 17, 2006. Biggest sand dunes in Eastern Europe. We have been going to the beach on the Curonian Spit, which is the "is a sandbank 100 km long that stretches from Sambian Peninsula. To Klaipeda ; h. Alf of it is Russian, the other Lithuaian territory. The spit is not connected to mainland Lithuania.". Once you take the ferry across the river to the spit, it takes an hour drive to get to Nida. That was our destination for the day. Trekking up to the dunes.

Lithuania: Our last couple days

http://erintravels.blogspot.com/2006/06/our-last-couple-days.html

May 31-June 25: First time abroad. Friday, June 23, 2006. Our last couple days. This trip has definitely been amazing in so many ways, but man have I missed playing music! Last night, we got the chance to see a famous Lithuanian violinist - M. Svegzda von Bekker - play with a pianist and celloist. They were completely passionate about the music and played together with brilliant precision. Refreshing for the soul:). Outside the concert hall. And Bucket (yes that is his real name, from Kirgistan). Today w...

Hello All, I'm back in Lithuania, this time with five students from Drury University! Check in from time to time to "see" our life in LT. Laba Diene, Rick. Saturday, June 24, 2006. We were surprised by how many LCC students got up early this morning to help with luggage and to say goodbyes. Bitter-Sweet indeed. We are anxious to be back home but sad to leave some really sweet friends. More later, RAM. Posted by Rick @ 11:13 AM. Friday, June 23, 2006. Laba Diene, Rick. Posted by Rick @ 3:16 PM. Friday, April 9, 2010. My yearly update.really? I am sitting in my living room with unfolded laundry accompanying me on the couch, and yet, I somehow still get sucked into my computer. I have made a decision lately that it is a necessity to take time to do things that you enjoy, even if it means that the house may fall apart in the brief few moments that you do take. We recently got back from a 6 day trip to Disneyland which we thoroughly enjoyed, except of course the part where we missed our little Meg!

If we take in account only volume, Hadley wins hands down (you have definitely inherited the Pleggenkuhle volume my dear). Brynley wins on word-accuracy (you know the words to EVERYTHING), and Ryann wins on performance (you dance, jump, and fall a lot while singing. And silliness tend to make up for it!
